11.1 Sony has at least as good of 3rd party support or better now then the Microsoft camp. Sony has been known to send over 3rd party support personal to the developers site to help with any issues if they get stuck.

And the tools are order of magnitude better for the PS3 this year over last and totally comparable in function and easy of use.

you obviously don't know who N'Gai Croal is...

If you can find me a girlfriend first T_T - I work upwards of 90hrs a week at a publisher as support for 3rd party developers.

as for exclusive - the idea of exclusivity is that no one else can have it (I still hate the term timed exclusive since by definition it is not exclusive) and a delay for a patch/maps etc is more a delay then an exclusivity agreement.

The difference is developmental priorities - the x360 patch was completed 2-3 weeks in advance of the ps3 patch , the maps come out about the same spacing... What does that suggest to you? It should suggest to you that they didn't start the cert process on the maps for PSN until after the PS3 patch came out.
That is - they needed to tes...

Eer no...not grade 5 by any stretch of the imagination.
And 21 days != exclusive.

If we can call launching a product 21 days later on a different console an exclusive (to get more press, etc) we would do it. But since 21 days is still within the launch window of the product it's not an exclusive.

Another reason for patent reform

patent trolling and ninja attacks on corporations years after they start using a product is completely unethical and dishonest.

patent is from 1993 that they supposedly violate...
why has she not done anything about it before. There is a thing in patents that states of you do not defend it immediately you lose the rights to it.

21 days now counts as exclusive?
Hmm I have tell my boss that - maybe we will make more exclusive content! lol.

I approved this review but I have some reservations
1) next time try using the spell check function and proofread what you have typed before posting. Grammer meh... who cares as long as it is understandable.
2) try to be a bit more objective and not try to compare to things unrelated to the game (ie: psn home remark)

other then that excellent and good to see someone brave enough to post a review

Hmmm SWG orginally has Correspondents and now has senators that act as partial influencers in the direction of the game...
otoh they were overrulled when the swg rebuild was made so not quite to the same level of power.

No
MMOs have a small issue called grinders
those who level up as fast as they can but they really don't play the game. MMOs you can have low level people who have played forever that have amazing game knowledge that helps them best higher level grinders. That said in many cases skill can't overcome level in MMOs - this MMO appears to be aiming at allowing player skill to be slightly greater in effect than game granted "skills"

exactly... but it still sounds fun

now if it is a shooter and since it is crossplatform (pc + PS3) I wonder how they will balance that issue? PS3 only servers? or allow the use of keyboard and mouse?

My feelings on this subject are well known from my blog post but again
Promos like this really are vampiric on the industry - they hurt the developer to much and I am glad to see publishers starting to get tough with retailers about it.

shouldn't your comment be more of an openzone fodder statement?

Heck don't just limit it to ten

who still has fun with pacman? Elite?
great games are timeless games and always are worth playing

Publishers will be and are starting to get tough on this issue - see the following:

http://multiplayerblog.mtv....

"Was this deal too good to be true? It certainly was too good for a major publisher to tolerate. An offer like the one in the flyer would have a) allowed gamers a no-risk, week-long trial of a full-priced game and b) ens...

Unlikely as Home is SCEE and not SOE
SOE otoh has lots of stuff to discuss at a conference like this.

hardware requirements mean upgraded networks required for it to work, aka new lines, new switchs, new recievers etc....
the work of a decade... not weeks or years.

6.1
I totally agree
Gameplay > Graphics

but graphics are the candy wrapper, the gift wrap as it were. It's hard to sell a great game without great graphics in today's market

(otoh: look at "Sins of a Solar Empire" current best selling PC game)
