I'd rather they hold off and make Destiny 2 a whole lot better. I envisioned more of No Man's Sky type exploration when they first announced Destiny but instead we got "maps" that you load into.
Do these retailers mention anything about it being a preorder for launch day? That might be a reason they are still taking preorders. A preorder for a 2017 launch.

I am going to say development issues since we first saw the game 2 years ago and haven't seen barely anything since.

I played this at PSX and this game isn't really a looker to start with. It was fun but it looked like an early generation PS3 game.
Unfortunately these companies think that they can repeat the success of Apple and release the same thing a year later with an added feature and the sheeple will lap it up. The only thing is, Apple is a weird tech cult that treats their users like babies and they get away with it.
