Not too sure about 400 million, but GTA4 will and should break Halo3's record. I mean its coming on huge install base if we combine ps3 and 360.
Ad was good, only time will tell, which console will benefit more from the hardware sales point of view. There is no question that GTA4 will sell more as a software on the 360 just because of its install base. what really matters is can 360 gain a solid lead in terms of hardware sales. I think I will try the demo first, all this press crap has made me double minded about this game. The game looks good but in the previews they keep mentioning alot of bugs etc. so I am gonna wait and see how this turns out:P
I am pretty sure this game will get critically acclaimed. But I also hope it sells well. This is one of a kind game. If this game sell well, other publisher and developers will also push forward and make games that are innovative and fresh rather then making the same FPS and playing it to death. By the way, is this video HD?
Well I do agree that signing up at Konami website is bit of chore but we are getting beta for free. Secondly its just 5 min. It isn't like OMG Sony fails, Sony is doomed. Well Sony is pulling stuff together, so just wait and hopefully we will be enjoying a premium online service for free.
Well actually you are quite right about the new xbox console. I remember when Sony announced the 10 year life cycle and some reporter asked this question to Peter Moore and he simply dodged the question. If Sony continues its momentum and catches up with 360 by next year. Microsoft will definitely release a new console. Just to stay in the market.
I totally agree with you. One thing that amazed me was that even after the price cut, PS3 outsold 360. I mean come on usually its a boost in sales after price cut, but didn't happened. I guess thats one reason why they have been soo quite, they can't seem to figure out how to stop PS3's momentum. As far as Wii is concerned. I guess Wii just stood out of the crowd and said hey I am number 1, you two can fight over the leftovers.

Problem is Microsoft doesn't have the big games to counter Sony this year.BioShock2 and MassEffect2 are still an year and a half off. So we can assume the only two biggest titles are going to be Gears 2 and Fable 2 and if Alan Awake makes it in time. Now on the other hand Sony is raging like a mad bull. Well we won't see 60 fps in multiplayer that is for sure. But we may see 60 fps in singleplayer as it isn't coop, and they have the separate campaign for coop, so they might pull this one off;)
Well we all know if anyone can pull this one of, its going to be insomniac. They are brilliant in what they do and I am pretty much hopefully they will be able to do it. Although its still a far fetch statement considering the sheer amount of this happening on screen at one time, plus you put in 150 feet tall bosses. I saw we are in for another technical achievement from insomniac:P
UT3, Uncharted, Gears of War, Heavenly Swords all of them had great textures:P and coming in JUNE the mother of all exclusive games MGS4 will have some amazing textures:D

Odd, no advertisement, no gameplay videos for the console. Plus even on PC it wasn't the best looking game. So lets see what happens? A multiplayer game coming on the verge of GTA4, Haze, and MGO, its a tough market. Lets hope they do well.
A) the pics quality was really bad.
B). Mate have you seen the scale of this game. Don't compare it to a corridor shooter like Gears. You can't get better graphics then this at this level. It would have a lot more detail if it was only rendering one room at a time, its rendering a whole living breathing city, what else do you want?
