A) I am talking about the whole year, thats why I mentioned MGS4.
B) Seriously dude, how old are you? I own both consoles and I know gaming critics don't know crap about what a great game is or not. Did you play any of the above mentioned PS3 games before calling it a flop?, every online game has its flaws, Socom just had one too many, but that doesn't make it a bad game, its a solid shooter if you prefer playing 3rd person shooters. I am still on the borderline for L4...
What exclusives is he talking about? The only two quality exclusives they have/had are Fable2 and Gears 2 or maybe Left 4 Dead, rest were bunch of mediocre games. PS3 did have a better year with diverse games, like MGS4, GT5 Prologue, Siren, Socom, LBP, R2, and Motorstorm 2. Not sounding like a fanboy, I own both 360 and PS3, and I play most of my multiplatform games on 360, but to say 360 is way far ahead in terms of exclusive games is rubbish.

Best shooter of the year = Yes
Best Multiplayer experience = Yes
GOTY = NO : Contendar = Yes (because FF-xiii, heavy rain, BioShock 2, and other games like MassEffect2 and if rumors are true Uncharted 2). So the chances are stiff. Out of all the above games it will come down to BioShock2, FF-XIII (if they don't screw it up), Heavy Rain and BioShock2.
Yeah I saw what you mean. There was a bit of lag as well. Well its a beta so hopefully all these small issues will be ironed out by them. The game even in that youtube video looks beautiful as ever.

Yeah the ending fight with Liquid was jaw dropping, me and my house mate were like thats not possible, thats CGI, no way they can render characters models like this. Its impossible and the next thing I know the camera moves and i am in control and I was like WTF? this can't real, how did they....

God of War 1 & 2 ending was great as well. But yeah for a shooter COD4 had the perfect ending:P

I haven't played it yet, I will very soon, but I don't think the game is bad, its just that they over promise a lot and they don't even deliver properly.

I understand what you are saying. I am not saying Gears 2 is a bad game, its just that they over promise alot, it was the same case with Halo 2 & 3 and it was the same case with most of there games. But consider MassEffect and BioShock that didn't had insane amount of hype before there launch and they ended up being extremely amazing game:P

Don't forget Gears 1 defined the next gen visuals. Tell me one game before the release of Gears 1 looked that good. Secondly Gears 1 still is one of the best looking games so its quite obvious its pretty hard to top off. Well the last time they showed there game it was in some PC conference & it was running on a Quad core machine. I am curious what are the system specs. By the way somebody said 360 was the lead platform. They haven't even shown the 360 version, 360 is not the lead platform. I hope it looks good, but don't expect that quality on a 360. I am not bashing 360, I own one, but saying that was running on a 360 is madness.
