I have a hard time believing that ME is a 9.5-10 worthy game. From everything that I've read, it seems exactly the same as all the other Bioware games, with a less fun battle system.
The whole dialog unlocking scheme has been done to DEATH by EVERY bioware game. While I'm not saying that ME is a bad game, its simply not revolutionary in the way that their previous games were. Also I can't see any RPG only lasting 10-12 hours worthy of 10s.

I may have to dissagree with you now. Square specifically, does quality over quantity, but Japan as a whole does not. There are MANY MANY ps2 and ds games that are Japan only releases that are utter crap.

I do agree that FF will come to 360, if and only if, ps3 doesn't have enough of an install base, and even then it will be 6-12 months after the ps3 version, and by that time who cares.
Even that is a HIGHLY unlikely.
LOL. FFxiii would run better on a PC then it will a ps3. Games like Crysis aren't coming to the ps3. FFxiii would be able to run on 360 just fine as well (would just be about 12 dvds lol). The massive power of ps3 is marginally if at all better then the 360. This isn't a ps3 vs 360 depate though.

While your entitled to your opinion. I have to disagree with you on all fronts. RFOM is not a crappy rushed game. It was a decent FPS that stood out against fairly weak launch lineup. It served its puprose just like Tekken Tag did for ps2. While I do agree Halo is the better game, destroying RFOM is assinine.

Its not framerate issues that brought the score down. People need to realize that GRAPHICS != good games. Especially on this gen, where graphics are going to be beautiful and getting better all the time. The framerate issues might have taken it from a 8.8 to a 8.5, but the reason this game didn't get a 9+ is because its just not a revolutionary rpg.

I read the review and they confirmed my suspiscions. Bioware made some great games in the past, Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, KOTR1, but then NWN1 and 2, Jade Empire, and KOTR2 were all not as good.
The much talked about dialog features have been around since baldur's gate, you get a party, you have to talk to them after each plot advance, and you can unlock their past or turn them good or evil.

you are so far from the truth its rediculous. The level design in mario galaxy surpasses anything we've seen on ps3 or 360 to date. While its true that mario has been around forever and has stayed essentially a platformer throughout the entire 20 years of existance, Nintendo continues to push their gameplay to new levels, and evolves into something different each iteration.
Nintendo sets the standard for original ideas, gameplay control, level design, and above all fun factor....
Their ability to make quality games is absolutely unmatched. They took mario, a tried and true franchise one that you think everything has been done before and took it to the next level. Mario Galaxy is definately a pinnicle in game design. The graphics might not be as pretty or the polygons aren't in the trillions but the level design, controll, and fun are amazing.

The 360 has a strong, ALMOST dominating lead in the US. The other territories are much more interesting. One thing that I see as a problem is that ps3 supporters say that ps3 will take over in 2008. Here is the problem I see with that logic:
360 world wide sales = 13.19 mil
ps3 world wide sales = 5.75

PS3 may have some great games coming out soon. MGS, GT5, and FF. The one that will probably help the most is GT5. Looking at the sales of MGS we see the following world wide sales:

I am finally starting to get respect for IGN again. They were raiting games for a while based on how much exclusive content they were given, but it looks like they are starting to get their act together.
Why does everyone assume that this game and every new game with pretty graphics deserves a 9.5+, games like that come around two to three times a system not each year.

Uncharted is no doubt a cool game. UT3 i don't think is that big of a deal. Unreal is best played on a pc and thats where its strongest following is.
The single biggest game coming out year is GTAIV, this is not a debate. GTA San Andreas sold more then all three MGS games on ps2 combined. While games like MGS, KZ2, FFXIII and Little Big Planet are looking to be quality games they won't have as big of am impact on the market as many would like to think.
Looking at the sales numbers. PS3 would have to outsell wii and 360 worlwide 2-1 for over a year for it to catch up to the other consoles. Which means that it will need to increase its sales by 200-300% and maintain that for a year.
While Its not impossible it would be difficult for ps3 to surpass 360 and wii worldwide in 2008. Maybe by mid to late 2009 ps3 will be winning, but it will not catch up in 2008.

Your wrong. If a previous version of a game had multiplayer, when the sequal comes out without multiplayer (IE, ratchet and clank) that HAS to be taken into consideration.
Especially since the NEXT version of that game probably WILL have multiplayer.
