This is all you need to know. It basically makes lighting look better. Though a lot of engines ca do it, killzone 3 for example supports it.
This video to me does a poor job at showing the tech. In fact, it may be the tech thats bad. I have seen better lighting in Killzone 2.

Yeah, i do feel a little guilty for not finishing the game before reviewing it. However, looking at the sheer size of the game, and the amount of grinding needed to get to level 40, I feel like I got far enough to review the game. I have played the game for well over 100 hours and unlocked plenty of cars and most, if not all, of the events.
