While I love MW2 and already have over 15 hours online, I feel that not all games are held to the same standards.
MW2 does all the things that MW did and added larger, more varied maps and more load out customization. Howevere, it doesn't change really any of the formula that made MW great. The graphics aren't that much better, the online modes are virtually the same, and the game itself is very short.

Demons Souls won't hold your hand and walk you through the game like most games now-a-days. DS reminds you of how hard game really were back in the NES days and DS also gives you a great sense of satisfaction when you clear an enemy or area.
Demons Souls is an instant classic and will be talked about for years to come.
You could make a list like this for any console but to forget to include MLB The Show, which is by far the best baseball game mabe to date, is a farce. If PS3 were to only have a top 50, MLB The Show should be in the top 50.

I wish it came out at a better time. With all the games that have come out (UC2, RC : ACIT, Demon's Souls, Borderlands, Sigma 2, Forza 3, Brutal Legend, Tekken 6, etc.) and with MW2 coming out next week, I bet a lot of gamers are feeling the hurt in the wallet!

this is the worst COD MW2 footage I've seen so far. I know it's not crystal clear but that video made this game look like crap.
I put a 250gb HDD in my launch 60gb PS3 and I've had it that way for 2 years now. I have a dozen or so PSN games, 12 full length movies, 40 episodes of Family Guy, hundreds of songs, thousands of pictures . . .all on my PS3 and there's still 107gb remaining.
Its perfect for just about everything....we'll put together playlists and slideshows then just let them play while we have people over, and when you have that on a huge LCD Tv it really helps at good atmosphere and conversatio...
This is a genre/style of game I really love, games like Baldurs Gate, Champions of Norrath, Diablo, etc.
The problem for me is I'm engrossed in Demon's Souls and I'm just hoping I can get enough game time in to finish it by the time COD : MW 2 drops next week!

Bayonetta looks like DMC with boobs. This game pales is comparison to what has come out in the last 6 weeks (UC2, Brutal Legend, Borderlands, Sigma 2, Demons Souls, R&C ACIT) and what is coming up soon (Dragon Age, COD MW2, Assassins Creed 2).

Anyone who's been around long enough to see how Playstation systems sell knew this was coming. PSone and PS2 both got off to "slow" starts because they both introduced "new" technology (CD and DVD based console gaming) that was pricey for their time. Once the tech becomes more popular and cheaper to manufacture the price of the systems comes down and the allure of the system and its tech becomes greater and system sales just take off.

Its hard not to nominate games that are well deserving but just don't get the mainstream love.
While MW2 is very good and I absolutely love it, I don't think it should be a GOTY nominee. It is MW with better weapon loadouts, perks, and killstreaks. The core game is still the exact same thing.
