Also . . . bashing in Hercules' face was probably the most sadistic and violent beating in the whole game. It adds to the sadistic-ness of it when you consdider they are half brothers!
Agreed. GOW3 had the most amazing action sequences all stuffed into one game.
After watching this list, I also come to realize that after all the dust settled. . . . Castlevania LOS was one of the top 3 or 4 games that I played. It is completely forgotten for some reason. Its much better than Bayonetta (13 year old Japanese Anime Porn game) and as much as I am surprised by saying it, is right up there with God of War 3.

My advice to new Demon's Souls players :
Play this game without online or any guides of any kind as much as you can. The game is so challenging that if you are able to figure things out and beat enemies without guides, it becomes one of the most rewarding games you'll ever play.
Stick with it.
Sounds good. I really like this game and the DLC sounds like a good extension of the story. Maybe I'll check it out.
What you are both forgetting is that many COD fans bought this game expecting the same smooth, crisp, and accurate online experience as MW2 ... and Black Ops is a mess online.
Period.

I love how when Killzone went "next gen" the devs made sure you feel immersed in the gritty, war torn environemnt. The picture of the spire gleeming with sparks and electricity, the dust and dirt, just really awesome stuff from Guerrilla.
I like it when games show growth in between releases, you can see the amount of love these people have for their craft.

Halo is the guitar hero/cod of exclusives.

It would be laughable.
As for add on characters being in games . . . I'm not a big fan. Didn't like it in Soul Caliber even though I love Star Wars' universe and I don't like this idea. The characters have nothing to do with the story.
I also would have chose GOW3 because of the culmination of the story, incredible boss battles and graphics, along with the super smooth fighting system.
But I habe to admit, Heavy Rain blasted my expectations and was one of the most unique games I've ever played. I have never had a game ensue so much panic. . .the fact that you don't get a "redo" changes a lot. If your character dies, there's no going back.

I partially agree with you. I like that they took out a lot of the BS perks and made it so Killstreaks don't dominate matches . . .
BUT . . .
. . . that does not make up for an even shorter campaign, horribly buggy online (Kicks, Connections, Party Boots, etc.), and graphics not as good as MW2.
Black Ops feels more like shovelware than a polished and complete game.
It should have won for :
"Game That Takes The Biggest Step Back For Its Franchise"
The 2011 PS3 Lineup may be the best single year of releases for a console ever.
There is so much slated for 2011 its absurd.
They will find some way to screw this up. We'll see.
