I am a PS only gamer and yes, Playstation needs a seriously impressive E3 to take the PSN Down taste of of everybody's mouth.
I love Playstation. Have since PSone but this PSN issue is a serious black eye in our day in age of technology and the role it plays in online gaming.

If Sony doesn't have this up at E3 Microsoft will add to their presentation that they have the "most secure" online gaming experience.
Its bad enough they have ammo with what has already transpired . . . if PSN stays like this until E3, they are f'd.
Plus, with more and more games coming out they are losing sales. People aren't going to go out and get those day 1 sales because there is no PSN.

There are aspects of truth in what you are saying but even in COD you have to play as an effective team to win consistantly.

The IGN (though I mostly dislike IGN) is actually very thorough and I almost think they wanted it to be great but in the end, Brink looks like doo doo.

This PSN issue is getting real old for me.
I'm a big Sony supporter, have been since PSone. But this is getting rediculous.
Its been almost 3 weeks not since this all started. Rediculous.
I would say not having things in place to prevent this occurance is an error on Sony's part.

The people that think there is security beyond your SSN are just in denial. Name, Address, DOB, hell even mothers maiden names are not "safe" anymore.
People just need to be responsible and ID things on their statements as they come through.

RROD is probably the worst consumer electronic problem I've ever seen. Failure rates as high as 50% in some tests is crazy. How a company can put a product to market with that many design flaws is unbelievable. I have co-workers that have had as many as 4 Xbox 360's. And every time it is a major inconvenience to them.
PSN being down isn't that much difference than the Xbox Live ...
