Sounds like they are dumbing the game down for the people in the cheap seats. If it turns out to be the Mass Effect 2 to their Mass Effect, than I would be okay with it.

Okay, I can see that. It definitely was not a very complex or original plot but I like the 'Suave' and 'brash' conversation choices which make the experience a heck of a lot more entertaining IMHO.
LOL - seems to be the general consensus on this one. Too bad, it looked like it would be so good.
Seems like one commonality between all of these reviews is that the ending is weaker than the rest of the game. I can't wait to find out why! Tomorrow can't get here quick enough - need to buy my copy!
Okay I'm in - still skeptical about a game claiming an 'open beta' but requiring a pre-purchase so this is the best way I can demo it without shelling out some cash.
This is how the system works in general. Always something new for you to spend your money on. We are junkies for the high of gaming.
Especially as if you wish to fully enjoy EVE, you need to consider it like a part time job - being in a corp and all. People greatly underestimate the game's time reqs. Not that its a bad thing - it is probably the most detailed MMO around.

Its about time, I only hope they keep the slower, sim-like mechanics of MechWarrior 3 in lieu of the faster-paced, arcade-syle MechWarrior 4. I enjoyed MW4 as well, don't get me wrong. I just chalk it up to personal preference.

The interpersonal dynamic between your character and the other NPCs and factions is really interesting, especially in how you can affect them through your actions and conversations.

They did source it man. According to the post they were sent the release by "one of Konami's press contacts".
Still waiting to see it on the Konami site as well, but also don't attack me for posting something that isn't sourced. They are the source until other gaming sites get off their duffs and start posting what Konami sends them too.
It is not uncommon for websites to be sent press releases before the company web team can post it. Although, I will look as well - if either of us finds it post the website confirm up here. Cool?
I would assume they were sent the press release by Konami's pr person. But, it is funny that there are not more places reporting this. It is very recent though.
I am concerned of the lack of joystick support, being that I loved the rudder pedal/stick combo in MechWarrior 3. However, the game looks very promising.
