I think everyone is ragging on it, but watching the trailer, I got the feeling it would have almost benefited from distancing itself from Battlefield.
Imagine if this was billed as a completely new IP. I feel everyone would be much more open to the things it is doing.

I would argue that many of the biggest problems weren't from the ideas they presented, but the tone with which they were presented.

Had they said "to usher in the future of games, we'll be offering two XBL subscription options with the Xbox One: 1) your traditional XBL Gold membership which will allow online gaming, etc and 2)XBL Platinum, which will offer a bevy of digital perks and options for people with a stable internet conn...
I'm amazed that FFXII sold so well. Also that the first KH and GoW sold more than their better sequels.

A lot of this is simply confirmation bias as well. None of this information is particularly new, and neither are the behaviors. Politics, products, cars, homes, etc.. Everyone tends to fall wildly in love with their choices because they've made them, and it makes things easier than admitting you maybe chose the wrong console/car/clothes and so on.

You can use the same cable, yeah. And as far as teh game itself, it is MUCH, much better than the first one. It's actually a viable learning tool now, too.
You can break down riffs, set the difficulty from the outset, and actually learn songs. The note detection is a bit better as well, and the whole structure works out more too. While playing the first one, I would get so frustrated with it that I could only play a couple of songs before I wanted to punch something. The...
