Don't know if your still reading this but I seriously doubt Farcry 2's level editor (never used it admittedly) has anything on this one. They could literally create every single level from any Halo game with all i's dotted and t's crossed.
It's impressive. I'm more interested in the game itself but eventually this will make the game last a LONG time with user created maps
I agree with everything but it's still fun to play sometimes.....once I realize I'm not really that bad and 3-4 times I die because of killstreaks that had nothing to do with me just being bad such as predator missiles, chopper gunners, etc.
But through all that, it's still fun. I thought about trading it in but I go through spurts of loving the game and I'm in one of those right now. I can't explain it
Look, Bungie is awesome but they won't be free outright. Plus, I honestly feel like 3 new maps (i.e. the Legendary Map pack for 600 at launch I believe) is a good deal. That's a little more 2 dollars a map. Heck, even 15 dollars for five maps (3 new and 2 remakes) would be a good deal if the game is worth it. I would much rather pay for a package like that with Bungie than COD
Read the article people....he's saying the subscription fee would be added content such as maps, guns/items, etc.
No one knows for sure if/how it will happen but that's their guess. That's really not big deal. It's no different than paying for map packs. The site is saying that everyone could play the game for free online and this sub would be a bonus sub if you will
meh I'm fine if it's sub for new maps....it's just like new map packs. If people can still play online free like if we didn't buy the map packs...then I'm fine with that. As long as I'm not forced to pay to play the base online experience as we always have

That being said, Forge World isn't a big deal? You can literally create any map from any previous Halo. You can create all new ones. I don't think people fully understand what Forge World means....I don't even fully understand it.
Name me another FPS that has that level of customization and level building.

I'm not a mapmaker and my mind was blown. I seriously cannot wait for this game. Just the other day I was thinking whether I would get COD:BO if Reach doesn't last. Bungie just slapped me in the face and woke me up. I can't wait for this game
Yea, I hate buying hardware and controllers for a specific game. I like the current slim model as it is anyway....It's beastly

That being said my mind has been blown by stuff I couldn't even see with all the stuff they announced. They said they have more to announce as well including a secret project (I'm assuming it's not the Acti game) since they mentioned it at a Halo panel.
Personally, I like Halo 3's multiplayer much better than 2 but to each their own. I have no doubt though, after playing the beta, that Reach's MP will destroy (in a good way) everything Bungie has done in the past for me. I can't wait for it and Reach and SC2 might just be enough to carry me until Killzone 2, Gears and SWTOR next year.
great game and great graphics but it won't be MY GOTY because it has literally no replay value to me. Once I beat it, I knew what the story was and not a huge reason to replay it yet. Games like UC2 and Reach are what make my GOTY.
With all due respect tp UC2 (fun as hell), the Reach Beta was my GOTY so I'm sure the full release will follow suit

It's a lot like Left 4 Dead but not really as fleshed out imo.....still really impressive for a mod based game and it's one heck of a game for being free. I could easily see myself putting in 10 hours or so before the years out....maybe more and that's a heck of a deal for free

Halo series has had 6 games in 9 years (including Reach)

There is no monthly fee to play SC2 in the US or Canada, most of Europe, etc.
