My question is that if this news changes anything about Rockstar's space problems with DVD9 for the 360 version (remember that they were saying something about that?). Thing is, that probably still exists despite this news.
The gray area with this is what exactly constitutes as a piracy claim. That is the gray area; the blurred line that a lot of companies are doing what they can to KEEP blurred in order to be able to shape the laws to fit their bottom line instead of taking care of the consumer. This, in the US, is a form of special interests that is holding our congress hostage.
The problem is what does the "legal" owner do with the copy of software they got once they get it home. What i...
But do you see what HHG is saying here? They aren't doing as much in the way of marketing lately (while Sony is pushing their products everywhere now), MS has done way too much of trying to buy out third party support at the sacrifice of getting something out of their own studios (the "me too" ware where they get something just to say "hey, we got that, too"), they haven't really done anything to push technology and gaming forward (how many more times can they deny that Bl...
The f#ck Ubi would be for their draconian DRM that they obviously don't give a rat's ass about WHOSE toes it's stepping on, not for any PoP game.
"Hey, our profits are down."
"Why?"
"Because our movies are sh!t and we charge such a high price for EVERYTHING."
"We can't admit that. That would show that we are who we really are: greedy douchebags."
"I'M NOT A GREEDY DOUCHEBAG! Uhh...well...we do need to fix this somehow so I can get another solid gold Humvee."
"Yeah, I know. That Diamond studded swimming pool I want won...
First off, if this guy wants to battle, then this whole thing will NEVER end, and it will only hurt the gamer in the long run.
Both parties are doing this wrong. I think Sony should look at the hack and see what they can do to take advantage of the situation. Ask him how he did it, what he was trying to accomplish, and then go from there. This is the one place I don't agree with Sony with: trying to kill ANY homebrew from ever getting onto their systems. They should use this to ...
Okay, first off, this act is illegal, bottom line, PERIOD! This goes into something called PRIVACY. Of course, no line is safe from being crossed when dealing with piracy, right? If legit customers are getting screwed, then THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE DRM/WHATEVER THE HELL IT IS! Why is it that the people who are implementing this BS seem to not give a crap that it's hurting the normal consumer? This just alienates them and does nothing to combat a "crime" that has a lot of gray are...
NOOO! You're passing everyone's opinion off as just an opinion on the game, yet your opinion is passed as being absolute fact. You're slamming EVERYONE who doesn't share your view, saying that they MUST be PS3 fanboys because they don't subscribe to the same view you and this article talks about.
You're claiming that people "go easy" on AAA titles, yet only cite the PS3 side. Why hasn't anyone been harder on games like Gears or Halo or Left 4 Dead? Have you seen how man...
If you think about it, though, it may be earlier than you think, because we all may be going on when we first see it hit N4G's front page as when they actually update the store. The store updates, and THEN, someone sees the news, submits it, waits for the approvals, and waits for the news to hit 50 degrees. I don't know how many people subscribe to the RSS or whatnot, but I can imagine that Sony would've already be an hour into the update being posted to the blog before N4G users who only get...
Here's the thing, and I didn't watch this because quite frankly, my intelligence is too good to watch that. I do trust what others have said about it, though.
Here's what it all boils down to. It's two things:
1. Older people cannot comprehend that younger people know more about something than they do. This segues into the second point.
2. People fear things they don't understand, so they try to explain it with whatever negativity they can to push it away from ...
Yeah, NICE! Go ahead and bring yourself down to their level by throwing the mud right back by calling them "FAIL boys". THAT'LL stop them. -.-
Apparently you weren't around at ALL last month.
You know, I don't condone this. I can understand an eye for an eye (which I can see why some people are halfway justifying this), but sometimes it's the bigger man that walks away from the fight instead of punching back.
But I am more surprised that this many people still CARE about Alan Wake with all the delays it got.
Then again, PS3 games got delayed a lot and look where they are now. Guess I shouldn't be surprised. Just didn't think that it was a mainstream title...
This could be good news about Versus, too. May mean they are close to finishing the game and they can start on other projects.
Umm..you DO realize that's their JOB to suggestive sell? That's that way with just about, oh, I don't know,...EVERY SINGLE BUSINESS THAT HAS EVER BEEN IN EXISTENCE?
If true, then someone federally should investigate them.
However, I doubt this is something that GS would actually try. We're just going on what some employee told some consumer, and GS should fire him for saying that.
Actually, we're going on what a CUSTOMER said that an employee told them. Basically, it's the "he said, she said" BS. Let's make sure there are other people claiming something similar before we go making any accusations. Just because it's GS...
Well, it's not that. It's that the innovation and lack of truly exclusive 360 games are really hurting it, and the game lineup is not helping matters any (how many more third party deals and exclusive DLC offerings are they going to do before they realize that doesn't exactly work positively for them?).
Sure, H:R will probably do well, and SC:C is getting hyped, but Halo is getting milked heavily, and SC:C has had their "could it go to PS3" rumors that haunt all of the...
Ahem!
From Foxgod's first comment in this tree:
"Go away, Uncharted 1 is one of the ugliest next gen games i have seen."
Even in the realm of opinion, it's wrong because we can name a million other games this gen across all the systems that looks a HELL of a lot worse that Uncharted. Anyone who's actually PLAYED it can tell you otherwise. Anyone who's played UC2 would tell you the exact opposite of what Foxgod thought about it.
No,...
Remember what Chris Buffa over at GameDaily said to defend his MGS4 review?
If you do, then you should know why your logic is flawed.
Because Valve, a company known for making all those comments about the PS3 and seemly doing whatever they can to not have to develop for it, to have a game actually come to the PS3 (actually from their hands and not outsourced) is THAT much of a big deal.
If this is true, though, I would wait until E3 to have Sony announce something, then have Gabe Newell take the stage at their press conference. THAT would be shocking to see.
EDIT: By the way, if they DID announce i...
