Usually on those points I would, but the news that Home is going to move to bigger servers because they are ready to go public with this is cause for me to think that this is necessary to share with others. This will get everyone hyped up that this long-awaited IP is THAT close should be announced. Why hide something that people will get excited over?
This is basically saying "we're just about ready to open the doors" on the beta.
In other words, they are ready for the open beta (or maybe even more).
...DOES imply that there is SOMETHING about to happen because they way you add music to that thing is a way that is not possible on the current FW, from what I've read. Konami has been wanting Sony to get at least trophy support out there, and I have to believe they really wanted Sony to go ahead with this FW for more than just trophies.
Along with Sony saying they would implement systemwide custom soundtracks this summer, I have to believe we'll see it in 2.4. I'd be really surp...
Three little letters that this gen is allowing: DLC.
If Konami (or Kojima) is planning regular DLC for this game, THAT would DEFINITELY make the comparison against other games be quite unfair.
Again, I don't know if that is in the plans or if that was even considered, but all things considered...
...I'm just throwing that idea out there.
Actually, if you get the strategy guide for the game, it encourages you to just play the game the way you want to without worrying about any of that emblem stuff (to enjoy the story and use whatever means you feel suit the situation or the way you deem necessary). The special things (i.e. the Big Boss Emblem) is intended for those that have already cleared the game once and are ready for that challenge of what you must do. I'm going to make my feeble attempt at that (though I will probably on...
HAHAHA!! +Bubbles for you for that PERFECT reply to that stereotypical comment. That was just TOO clever.
1: We're not fanboys just because you said we are. We're calling you on your "playing the game" and then making empty claims that you played the game. If you made it to Act 4 and it was "nothing special", then how were you compelled enough to GET to Act 4. SOMETHING must've been done right?
2: I think I could say the same thing about the amount of 360 fanboys who click on the disagree button to anyone who says anything positive about the PS3. And, like the person ab...
Wow...you REALLY missed the point of what was the controversy. No one complained about the scores, but how they GOT to those scores. Chris Buffa omitted key things about the game in his review (where was the info about Mk. 2 in there?), and got stuff about the game completely backwards (there are NO "commercials" between acts, just two when you begin the game), which made THAT particular 8/10 review suspicious of what exactly he was judging. Then, when people called him on it, he sa...
"Only silly fanatical fanboy's would disagree."
Which basically means that 3/4ths of the people on this site are "silly fanatical fanboys" by your logic.
No, he wouldn't...
...he's a 360 fanboy. Torrence Davis was the one that gave POG a bubble once, remember?
TO THE TWO THAT DISAGREED:
Look on his comments page (I believe it's the one about Lazlow preferring the 360 version of GTA4 over the PS3 version because of the two DLC episodes). You will clearly see his bragging on it. Oh, and have you noticed that there hasn't been any clear 360 fanboys on there yet (where IS Bladestar, Sleepbox, The Mart, or POG?). <...
...I just want to add to your points.
The last big 1st party game that MS had (that I can remember) was Halo 3. Sony has had a few since then (not sure if these came out after Halo 3, but Folklore, Warhawk, Uncharted (I THINK this was 1st party), MLB08, GT5P, etc., were awesome PS3 1stP games that got some good attention after Halo 3. In fact, out of all of them, Folklore is the only one I don't know if it came out before or after. I think Heavenly Sword came out after H3, too, b...
...that is actually not slamming the PS3 and is actually INTERESTING!! There IS a god.
Something else about older characters that were developed as respectfully as Kojima did with Snake: They knew a LOT about what they did and are not afraid to pass it on to a new generation (they did something like that in the new Indy Jones movie...good movie, btw). So I could see Lara Croft would want to teach all she knows to her daughter or a granddaughter or something like that, or for an o...
...I think Sony has a distinct advantage over MS at how powerful their console is. They would have to make sure that devs know that they could do alot more with their console than with the other one (not saying that's true or false, but that is something they could make into a selling point since I personally think it is and I've seen many others saying the same thing). They got alot more space with the Blu-Ray disc to work with, they have a standard HD in there, they can give players complet...
It gave fanboys a reason to go and exaggerate EVERYTHING about the exact "deal".
My GOD, do you know how many people I responded to about all that, not believing that getting simple logic to some of those people that were saying outrageous stuff about that was a lost cause? THAT was what made a regular fan into a fanboy. I do wish that Rockstar DID come out and just explain everything to people, because it got WAY out of hand. THAT was insulting to gamers to see so many...
...no one is complaining about the score here...just that this review is from a very weird source that never rates games and consistently thinks that games are the end of the world.
And yet, everyone who complains about the complaints thinks that we are complaining about the score they gave the game only. Why is it that some people are believing that the people critical of some of these reviews AREN'T complaining about the score itself? There ARE other things in a review (or ways...
1: GEC, you are a complete, ignorant retard who doesn't read MOST things that don't fit into your view of gaming ("we all better be 360 fans or else"), so that "I'm not going to read that list" just doesn't surprise me coming from you.
2: Not only is SO4's exclusivity up in the air, but SE never did close the door on anything about a PS3 version. They only said "we may or may not". And remember about SE giving everyone exclusives (with the PS3 gettin...
...it's WHY he rated it an 8 and what he failed to even bring up in his review that got him the heat. He got things about the game completely wrong, and didn't bother to mention things about the game that would've influenced gamers purchasing choices.
Like I have said before, you better have a DAMN good reason to rate something the way you do, especially when you're going against the grain. It's alright if you didn't like the game as much as all of us did (you can't please everyo...
Actually, I saw several spots on WWE SmackDown on Friday (where alot of the people that will buy the game will be watching). I expect for all WWE programming to have the spots (the PS3 one featuring that and a few other games and the one that is solely for MGS4).
GTA4 had help from the NBA Playoffs in that sense because that was a huge deal (don't know if it ended yet as I haven't been watching them), and there is nothing like that (a sports playoff thing) that they can sell ads...
...way to miss the point ENTIRELY!!
Keep digging that hole, sir. You keep on failing to see the real issue about this crap, as it's evident every time you defend these articles.
...that's kind of a cheap shot, Breakfast. Submitting a lackluster review (that, by the way, got some things wrong...there's no 45 minute cutscene in the game unless you want to count the ending, and again, why the omitting of the Solid Eye or the Mk. 2) just so the game can get a color lower and satisfy your fanboy wants is nothing more than doing that "kneecapping" that this site said others were doing to get notice.
Again, I wonder why you want others to hate this ga...
