So are you going to pretend that Wii never existed because it won last generation.
And no... Don't say Wii wasn't competing with PS3 and Xbox 360 due to being lower powered... Generations are defined by time periods not power.
Why would you get rid of an entire system because summer games are weak. As they always are.
As if PS4 doesn't have the same problem you essential just wasted money to get back to square one if we are following the articles premise.
PS Now prices are pretty overpriced and is really aimed at people without a PlayStation 4 so I wouldn't partake in such a program. Gamefly is a better deal.
I would choose a PS3 over trading in an Xbox One...
I personally wouldn't buy eight year old hardware. Especially when I have a PC in which the library of games are massive and have a huge back catalog of games.
But to each their own just my opinion on the subject matter.
"Its not convenient to pay more for less."
I never understood that argument. I'm not getting less. It's just in a different form of media. i don't consider myself getting less for buying music on iTunes then CD.
If you are referring to me not having a case for my games...Well I can live without that.
I respectfully disagree. If you waited this long only using an Xbox One I'm sure you can wait till September when two great games are coming out with Destiny and Forza Horizon 2.
I'm all digital as well. I'll pay extra for convenience.
Some features to come:
Waking up the console and automatically downloading content (console has to be configured for Instant on).
Low battery notification will be displayed on-screen when the controller runs low on juice.
Remote downloading of apps and games by purchasing them on Xbox.com or through SmartGlass
Controller will vibrate when the Xbox button is held down long enough to carry out an action.

Were you expecting a cheap Kinect v2 on Windows? You shouldn't have. Kinect v1 was 250 when it came to Windows.
I think the long term prices are bad as well. The game is cheaper in other places then me renting a game I won't be able to own.
"That's why it's called an opinion piece."
Alright? Well didn't I just give my opinion on it.
If you can you should play both games though. They are really cheap.
I respect what you are saying as well. Of course I agree with you that seeking money doesn't always make good products. Yet having passion and integrity from a company doesn't necessarily make a good product either.
There are many factors but a companies job especially one that is public first and really only duty is to make money. Shareholders don't care about how the consumer feels about a certain company.
My example is EA. Voted worse company i...
Someone didn't have a Wii. Coop was alive and well. Nothing like playing smash with friends.
"ask yourselves should making money be a company's only driving passion!?"
Yes. And I say yes because your making the assumption that having a focus to only make money isn't beneficial to the consumer. Companies want your money so they will try to make the best product to get your money. That also doesn't mean you can't love what your doing at that job as well.
Now to the article. I agree. MS does need a focus on what Xbox is. Is it ...
I don't think it's Steam job to monitor the games quality that goes on the store because:
1. Quality is subjective thus denying a game would cause friction with devs.
2. Responsibility needs to fall on the gamers to do their own research on a game before a purchase.
3. It would likely be taxing on the team at Steam to quality test all the games on their platform.
4. They are only a distributor, for the most part, so t...
$299 with a free game? Damn... Sounds like Black Friday might be a time for you to pick one up.
If 2015 is any indication of what to come on Xbox One it is very good investment. Innovative games like Quantum Break and fan favorites like Halo Xbox One is poised to have a fantastic 2015.
Something that is overlooked is Windows 9 and "Threshold" which in 2015 will align all MS platforms into one allowing much better integration and Universal apps and games. Allowing you to buy something once and have it on all your platforms.
I'm excited abou...
Interesting. I liked reading it.
How do you know that without benchmarks...
Also there is finally 3D bluray playback.
