TLOU shouldn't be able to win GOTY for 2014, it's a remaster.
I think there will be no consensus GOTY like 2013 but I think it will be a toss up between Destiny and Super Smash Bros.
2015 on the other hand...Holy hell.
You have to recognize where these awards actually take place. Also I would personally put Rockstar above Naughty Dog simply due to the scope and detail put into GTA.
TLOU is a masterpiece but from a gaming standpoint I can appreciate GTA more than I can TLOU, but ND should have absolutely won Use of Narrative.

I think $1000 is a cheap investment for a gaming rig that will last you for years.
Some people spend upward of $750 every two years for a new flagship phone, I'm one of them.
Also you will be saving so much money on cheaper software and not playing for online functionality.
I do think you can build a PC for $700 that will play all games at medium 1080p but you would have to upgrade sooner.
PC has a higher initial cost but...
Can you really blame developers for not making AAA games all the time with huge budgets that if it isn't a hit success then your fired.
Also you can make AAA F2P games. F2P is just a payment method not a determining factor quality.
I just think people are kinda overreacting about F2P as there aren't too many coming out. 2015 which will usher in a golden year of gaming doesn't have too many F2P games.

Windows Phone is a mess. MS got into the game too late. This is a game for iOS and Android which is disappointing because many like the modern UI but it lacks apps.
Threshold in 2015 will be big for MS with universal apps and one marketplace to rule them off. They have to nail WP9.
There are two big takeaways from Broadwell.
1. It is using the 14nm process which means less power and more energy efficient.
2. They are increasing the graphics to the point that ultrabooks are able to play PC games at decent resolutions and frame rates which is really exciting for that market.
Can't wait to hear about both.
F2P has been here for quite some time. It isn't something new. Also there is nothing wrong with F2P inherently so not sure why you are sick of it.
Also how many F2P games do you really even play?

I think it's annoying when anyone who doesn't own a console bashes other people for not owning the console that they own. This isn't exclusive to the Xbox One though.
All consoles are up for criticism. MS isn't some angel, non of them are. I think constructive crisis is needed. Constructive being the key word here.
