Ahh The Cell. The amazing games just keep coming.
I don't remember any Lair or haze devs talking (only 360 fanboys) but I do definitely remember itagaki, cliffy B, and others talking smack. PS3 devs definitely do less talking.
Ted Price and Kojima are just for starters.

I have been waiting for a next-gen snowboarding game. This is shaping up nicely and I'm looking forward to it.
Another SSX would be nice too.
Because the Cell is powerful at specific tasks but not others like general purpose code and highly branched code. For instance Cell wouldn't run microsoft word or powerpoint very well from what I've heard. Programs would have to be specifically written for it with different coding just like games for PS3 and it would just get messy with normal PCs on the market too. But at graphics processing and physics calculations Cell is very effective.
Who knows what the future holds thoug...
I don't care about the Wii and probably won't care about the Wii 2. I just clicked on it for the girl.

Saying the PS2 had problems doesn't justify the 360 breaking. I don't even think the two can be compared. I'll give a true personal testimonial to illustrate. I have known no less than 10 people with PS2s and none ever had a problem with them (my launch one STILL works). Now I know 6 people with 360s and 3 of them (1 friend as of 2 weeks ago) have had them break and 2 of those people multiple times.
So from my own personal experience 360 failure rate is at 50% (greater than that ...
Even if MS did not pay SE both companies saw the potential for sales on the 360 so they are making a port... still money. It's always about money. Greedy companies only wanting money.

As I said up above: Cliffy and Ted are completely different. One needs to say his game is better and can't avoid doing it but the other doesn't so leaves the topic alone.
Everyone just play the one you like or even better play both. (although I admit I like Resistance better)
It all boils down to which game you like better as both bring unique features and gameplay to the table. Gears 2 will definitely be worth playing but there is a reason I'm getting R2 first day.
