If you don't like it, don't use it. I'm not thrilled about home but if it's there then ok I'll take it eventhough I probably will almost never use it. If it's not for you then don't use it. I could be wrong but I don't think the MP levels are as large as the single player levels. Guerilla said each level was around 2GB. That's huge and I'm not sure how many SP levels in addition to all the MP levels. I think the actual game will need BD if not highly compressed.
There are plenty of good compression techniques that produce excellent image quality. I thought the point of blu-ray meant putting uncompressed data because it always takes system resources to decompress the data on the fly. If they are already uncompressed on the disk that means more available system capacity to do other things. In theory of course. An open world with powers and destructibility, it will offer hours and hours of "play-time".
I don't think it will be short either. With the ability to upgrade powers plus realistic open world to explore and mess around in as I see fit, this one will entertain me for hours on end.

I think lack of funds rather than "the cars are unsafe at high speeds" is the primary reason most people don't own these cars.
Excellent points. I agree that Gears 1 wowed people and Gears 2 managed to squeeze even more juice from the engine and the console. But if Gears 2 as good as it is is writing a new book I consider Killzone 2 to be a set of encyclopedias. Gears 2 is the best out at this point but soon it will be second best. At least in my opinion.

Games play great with no lag and I don't pay a thing. That's how it should be.

But it is also coming out significantly later than both those titles and is Epic's second iteration of the series on 360 while Uncharted and MGS4 were first attempts both of which beat out Gears 1. Gears 2 is king at the moment but from what I've seen Gears 2 will be destroyed come February.

But then most are developed on 360 first then ported to PS3. That plays a big part and games like Burnout and COD4 where that was not the case serve to affirm it. Also they weren't made to take advantage of blu-ray but rather of DVD so why would anyone think differently. Also and most important blu-ray is just a storage medium so directly affects nothing related to graphics although may have indirect effects if used properly.
