I've had more fun in offline co-op against bots in the original than online. I appreciate when a game gives you both because they are great fun in different ways.
Most time will probably go to MP but I can see myself playing through the SP multiple times.
It will sell well and most likely be a better game than Halo 3 but it does not have as extensive of a demographic, marketing, or fanbase from previous iterations.
It won't sell as well but it will be much more to my liking.
Can't give in and look at anything else regarding this game. Have to keep all the goodness for February when I finally get to play it.
There is Killzone 2 hate everywhere. I've heard it from too many people. In this very Article and Zone pp spouted hate for it. I've heard it from him, pog, jason360, and others. There is a lot of KZ2 hate I don't understand but you are right that most people are impressed such as yourself but then usually in the same breath they will say that Sony and PS3 still suck.
It's no myth the hate is there. I've heard "grayzone, weak AI, generic FPS, Killzone 1 sucked so KZ2 will a...
Killzone 2 was announced in 2005 and at that time all they had to show was a target video. Development started no earlier than 2005 if even 2005. It was stated that the game was ready now but they didn't want to compete with R2. That makes a 3 year development cycle. The actual cost hasn't been reported but it was supposedly $20 million in 2007. Doubt they doubled it in one year. Even if they did take $50 million, the money they can make from the engine and different parts of it (the engine i...
I can totally see the mart, jason360, and pp in that scenario. Either the halo helmet or their gears replica gun then standing in the mirror in cliffy b poses.
"I don't see anyone hating on this game."
Then maybe you should open your eyes. This game has been criticised to no end by the haters. Everything from "grayzone" to "weak AI" to "generic FPS" not to mention criticising GG and their previous work attempting to put KZ2 down. I've heard criticisms from almost every 360 fanboy. They are quickly running out of things to say though (which is actually quite humorous) and many are starting to see...
You can't expect release titles to look like KZ2. I too wish that Sony would have given more support but they didn't know how to use the CELL either and it has been a learning process. Considering it's only been 2 years (less if you live in Europe) I expect this kind of progression. In time the standard will improve and the average graphical level of games will improve but it takes time. I really don't think we had to wait too long to get the graphics of Uncharted, MGS4, and now KZ2. Be a lit...
I expect it will get 6/10 from sites which will remain nameless. I'm going to buy, and almost certainly enjoy, this game regardless of reviews. The single-player videos and comments of those from the MP beta have me convinced this game will be great.
"Unleash the whirlwind of our land. Our guns never tire and when we have beaten back the foe... Send Them, RUNNING."
We'll get it in 5.1 goodness come February. Can't wait. Brian Cox has the perfect voice.
pp gets owned again. I wish I had dollar for every time pp has gotten worked over.
I give GOW a better chance of coming in 2009 than Alan Wake. Only time will tell though.
Also if you can't find something in all of 2009 on the PS3 you could enjoy then you are seriously a fanboy and have problems. If you can't find Uncharted 2, KZ2, inFamous, GT5 (hopefully 2009), and others worth playing then you show your fanboyism. You will taut lesser games on 360 and yet say PS3 has nothing for you.
It's pretty obvious where the most promising games are going to be. I do think Heavy Rain should have made the list but I guess because it hasn't been officially confirmed for 2009.
There are too many games. I chose the wrong time to plan a wedding because my wallet can't take buying them all. I just got R2 and Farcry2 for Christmas and plan on getting LBP with a gift card I got. So far the former two have not disappointed. Need cash though (not to mention time).
Welcome to fanboy bashing. The 360 fanboys still consider Uncharted a flop. Some people will reach at anything to bash the opposition. If a game breaks the 1 million it's pretty much considered a good selling game. The only exception is if the game is on PS3. Then it's a flop. Don't worry they are quickly running out of excuses. They went from "no games" to "the games not selling". Just feel sorry for them missing out and move on.
It's fine if you don't trust vgchartz (I don't trust their numbers either) but at least be consistent and report the article as lame when it's tauting 360 consoles' or games' numbers. I look forward to seeing you report 360 related articles as "lame".
Just got R2 for Christmas and so far that game is great. Don't know what the haters were talking about. It deserves at least a million in sales.
All those packs would be SOO SWEET! LBP really has so much potential. Sony is doing something special with this game and the possibilities are right there. I hope this game continues to grow and expand.
I hurt myself thinking of what will be out in 2 more years then I think my brain just exploded thinking about 5 years from now.
Game On!!
The Helghast looks so sick. So menacing. The one you showed I don't care for much. Looks like he pulled his shirt over his nose like someone farted or something. But to each his own.
We will each get the one we like. Region-free FTW.
