Don't standard cars look pretty "meh" in real life? I think they got the effect of standard cars vs. exotics spot on. You see a Ferrari in real life and you can't take your eyes off it then you see a VW Jetta and you look the other way (no offense to anyone with a Jetta, I have nothing against them). I take the differences in looks in the game as creating an effect that mimmicks real life. Whether that's true or not only the dev team knows but to me it makes you want to ...
While I liked it I found it incredibly frustrating. The SP was a lot of fun and I beat it without using guns :-) but the time trials were so freaking impossible and I got punked by the game so many times I just stopped playing. I tried looking at youtube videos and running the courses with the "shadows" of other players but even on the zip lines they went faster than I did and pulled away from me no matter how I tried to jump, run, etc. Nothing ever worked out the way it was suppose...
I liked Mercs 1 much better than the sequel. An HD remake disc-based or on PSN would be great.
If you liked TFUII that much you should definitely play the first. It is exponentially better. The mechanics, story, characters, length, use/look of force powers. Just was glitchy.
Seriously pick it up when you get a chance.
For RPGs Bioware is great but for simulation based gameplay I don't think so. I was truly disappointed with how this game turned out considering how much I loved the first.
CELL does do shader ops better than GPUs but only vertex shaders. Pixel shaders are still handled by RSX. I believe Insomniac was among the first to start doing this. But Killzone 2 also moves shader ops onto the CELL.

I admit I don't understand everything in these articles but they seem to support my statements. ...
Car physics seemed kind of off but it was still fun. Definitely reminded me of NFS:HP 2 that I put hours and hours into. I'm not sure if it's good to release a new one each year though. In sports games you can update rosters at least but in this there's only so much you can do with cars. We'll see though.
I've only recently started upgrading computers and am thinking of upgrading my video card (for the second time). I've only used Nvidia and honestly have been happy with them (I really like the 8800GT) but it seems the last year of so they have been slipping and their chips don't perform like AMDs. Is Nvidia going downhill? Is AMD a better choice? I've heard Nvidia has better driver support but AMD makes better cards. Is this true? Can anyone help and give a little advice to so...
I have seen GOWIII and I will say it looks phenomenal. That alone makes me happy with MLAA. Problems, who invented it first, who used it first, resource hogs, and all the tech talk really doesn't matter when you see the game in motion. There's really no problem with devs using MLAA if that's what they can accomplish with it. I have no problem with it coming to the PC or 360.
This one seems terrible from the demo. I'm not getting it either. I'll just have to be content with the first TFU.
I thought the Mirror's Edge chick (Faith Connors) was ugly with no body. To each his own.
Why can't they leave debris lying around? Put in more DMM? The disappearing objects as soon as they appear and the limited amount of destruction is really disappointing especially seeing what other games accomplish with destructible objects and environments.
After playing the demo this game is seriously disappointing. I'll keep playing the original TFU. Even my wife said the second TFU looked like cartoony crap. I want the feel of the old force powers back.
This one does seem like a rental but the first was a really fun game. This one is a downgrade in my opinion. They made the force powers look too cartoony and overall the new feel just isn't good. Don't even like the new animations for Starkiller particularly when using the force. The powers also seem weaker than the first game except when in overload. I wish they just would have fixed the glitches from the first and opened up the world more with of course more DMM. Can they please put...
I loved the first inFamous and with the massive disappointment that the Force Unleashed II is looking to be compared to the first TFU, this will be my most appreciated superhero-esque game.
I don't understand people's fascination with melee combat in games like these. If I have super powers the last thing I want to do is bludgeon people in the normal manner.
Still though, Sucker Punch Rocks!
The video quality does not do this game justice. Can't wait to see it on my TV.
I don't want them to change the controls. I never understood the lag or "dead zone" issues people kept bringing up. I even played paying attention to these and still never understood what the complaint was. I've played COD4, MW2, Halo 3 & ODST, Battlefield BC 1 & 2, and even Haze and think the controls in KZ2 are excellent. I love the weight and don't notice any type of lag. When I push the stick he moves. There is no 30 second delay like people make out. I hope ...
You may very well be right. Kind of a short list if you ask me.
But honestly playing it on November 2nd would have been even more beautiful and amazing. But of course I'm willing to wait.
LOL. Nice One nskrishna2. That cracked me up. After seeing the game in motion I don't know where people are getting these pictures. It looks beautiful on a big screen. Of course I don't spend much time staring at standard cars looking for flaws either.
