I am playing the game now and there is no mandatory install on the 360 version. Edit: I cat believe some idiot disagreed with me. I own the game. The only reason to install it on the 360 is to avoid disc swapping it is NOT mandatory. Look it up if you don't believe me. Joystiq just wrote an article about this.
my launch 360 got the rrod after a good 4 years of hard use and my fat ps3 got the ylod after a little over one month. I have replaced both consoles with new ones and have had troubles. Ms fat 360s had issues and had a lot of them. Sonys fat ps3 had issues as well but not to the extent of the 360. I loved the mass effect series and the big reason was the way stories go together. It will be very tough to deliver the same experience on the ps3 without the original to set it up. Did you ever consider that around the world there are people interested in Kinect. Just because you and I think its a waist of money and I also think move is a waist does not mean there's not a market for this stuff. It will work fine for what the casuals will use it for but as long as ms does not drop the core audience I'm fine with it and like many have said I really have no fears in them doing that.
It looks like a lot of the move launch titles bombed. I expect similar scores with some of kinects shovelware. I just hope they both just MOVE on out of here so we can get back to concentrating on real gaming with a controller or keyboard and mouse.

Move and kinect are both attempts at two companies seeing the millions that Nintendo is raking in and trying to get a piece of it. I have to comment ont this. Its not the point of the install its the fact its not an issue with the 360 versions. If they both had it that would be a diffrent story. I like my ps3 and have played some outstanding games that rival the xbox but these installs and updates are getting old.
Mandatory installs and firmware updates would fill up 4 gigs in a day. I'm not being mean just truthfull.
Claiming victory for the 360 on this game is just as bad as the castlevania diffrences. The game rocks on both systems. Does it really matter what console looks better. I own both and they are both very close on most games but ps3 has the edge in the exclusives and 360 does on multiplats since developers don't have the time nor the budget to code properly for the ps3. When u rush a ps3 game it will have installs and slow loads and pop ins and when yo rush a 360 game it usually is not much better. D i tradeD halo reach for enslaved and castlevania for the 360. I have loved enslaved and I now know why you guys liked heavenly sword as the writing is brilliant. I finished it quickly though and may play it again after castlevania. Castlevania is fun but its difficult at times and that takes away from the story when I have to replay it several times. Enslaved wins this one for me and I am thinking of picking up heavenly sword for my ps3.
My ps fatty lasted a month and 2 days. I went and bought another one but don't use it nearly as much and its now 2 years old.
Neo of the huge advantages I see wit the 360 is that its operating system is quick and painless. When I get a ps3 game I almost always have to wait for some kind of update and then install it and this takes a lot of time when I just want to play my new game. The 360 does not do this. @bananlol. You must have a really crappy 360? My launch system was not quiet but it was nnot so noisy that it bothered me. My new 360 is quiet and makes no more niose then my ps3 which I love both systems.
