These sales figures are dissapointing! For a heavy hitter like this.. Yes Sony and its fanboys proclaimed that Heavy rain is a huge game! A million not a lot but I guess I have to quit comparing PS3 exclusives to 360 exclusives sales! I'm pretty sure a million sold hasn't covered the cost to develop and market this game.. Specially this gen when developing games cost a lot more compared to last gen..
This is what happens when games don't sell as expected.. Remember before this game came out all the PS3 fans was calling the next youtube putting a bunch of hype in and ends up flopping in sales.. If this game would've sold 5 million you know they would've hurry up and developed the 2nd one.. Sales don't matter huh PS3 fans?
Quit hating.. 360 slim will come out this year and when it does it will increase its lead over the PS3 to 10 million and will pretty much guarantee the PS3 comes in third this Gen.. If that happens consider the PS3 a failure for Sony but still a great gaming console/movie player for gamers! Then in fall 2011 I wouldn't be surprise if M$ comes out with the 720..

I agree with the others who say this will boost 360 sales and make it cheaper for MS to manufacture.. If you look at the PS2 sales i'm pretty confident that the actual install base of the PS2 is half of the actual number sold. If the PS2 slims never came out then i'm pretty sure the PS2 never would've sold more than 100 million in its lifetime. Many fat PS2 owners upgraded to newer slims or just replaced their it with their broken down console.. M$ will release a 360 slim this holiday season ...

Halo 3 and Gears 2 sold more than 2 million it first day.. Kratos gets pissed on by Master Chief and Marcus Fenix.. Its funny how PS3 fans disregards sales of 360 games.. But really though GoW2 only sold 4 million on the PS2 which had install base of 120 million.. This game isn't going to top that..

yeah isn't it sad that the more expensive 360 is outselling the PS3 even though the PS3 is the best bang for the buck. I mean c'mon with xbox live $50 a year, wifi $100 rechargable batteries $20 the 360 cost about $400 but its still outselling the cheaper PS3!! The PS3 isn't even close to outselling the wii..

Its nice Sony has all these games up their sleeves but at the same time kind of sad when not many PS3 owners by them.. Just look how Mag wasn't even on the top ten list in NPD while Mass Effect 2 an RPG game is in their. We all know FPS>RPG in sales..
Its sad how Sony fans bring up all the other sales around the world to make the PS3 even in sales.. Last gen sonys console was just killing the competition and now the PS3 is just scrapping by to get into second place.. Sony did really drop the ball with the PS3 hopefully they have learned their lessons that its all about the games and not "movie features" that gamers buy consoles for!

Yes the PS3 is increasing its marketshare but the bigger picture is Sony is going to be losing market share this generation while M$ and Ninty gained compared to last gen. The PS2 is has now probably sold 160 million and I highly doubt the PS3 will sell even half of that! M$ with the original Xbox sold 25 million and is currenlty up to 35 million with the 360s.. Yes the PS3 is catching up which is a good thing but if you look at the big picture MS is the one improving from previous gen. The original Xbox sold 25 million, gamecube 20 million while the PS2 sold 150 million!! THE PS2 PRETTY MUCH ANNILIHATED THE COMPETITION!! But now the PS3 is in third place while the Wii and the 360 has improved sales from the previous gen.. So again even if the 360 comes in third place this gen who actually improved their sales and which one actually lost market share...
When M$ releases the xbox 360 slim you can count on the PS3 being third place this gen.. The 360 has survived everything that Sony has thrown at it.. MGS4, LBP, Resistance, KZ2, Price drops, PS3 Slim and even that hasn't allowed the PS3 to catch up to it in sales. If the PS3 is outselling the 360 worldwide since 2008 how comes it still has a 6 million console lead?
