The PSN fee came from Sony needing to up its network. PSN is way better now then what it was in the beginning. They weren't going to foot the bill to keep the network free.

How is Gamepass screwing developers? Developers are paid to put their games on the service.
How is Gamepass screwing gamers in the long-term? Access to 1st party games day one, access to BC games with higher res and fram rates, still get game with gold free games. How is this bad?

Would the PS5 be doomed at 600 dollars? No? Then why would the Xbox be doomed? Fans of the Xbox will buy it just like Sony fans bought the PS3 for 600 dollars.
With the tech inside both the PS5 and the Series X is worth more than 600 anyway.
Also if you don't want to pay for the high end box you can get a Series S.
You are not the only one. Halo 4 and 5 were really good. I liked the way 343 were going with graphics and gameplay. I think things can be done better with narrative of the story. Since Halo story arc goes beyond the game with comics, novels, TV, ect.
Halo 5 opening cinematic was amazing! If you just let 343 keep doing that with a great story they'll be good.

The Series X is a great piece of hardware. There's no denying that.
I'll wait and see how far it goes after the first year or two. Sony made a big deal about the six axis and not many games used it and sometimes it broke the immersion. I didn't like having to shake my controller in the last of us.

Yes, that makes sense for the average consumer. MS - More games (Game Pass) with a more affordable next gen console. Sony - possibly more expensive next gen console with Spiderman.
It will be interesting to see which wins out this holiday.
But price is big factor. The wii and the Switch sold like crazy because they were affordable.
