Come to find out that Gamestop canceling thing was just spammed from one user and became a story. Nowadays they love mud slinging without the facts just to get hits.
Team ninja and Sold Out are two things we don't usually expect . I am pleasantly surprised at their success.. Great job!

great comment! At the end of the day its about the entertainment value. If I am entertained that's what counts when I buy a console/handheld. For Nintendo to be successful they just need people to try out their products. They have been way more aggressive getting the message out with informative Ads etc. If they get the needed Sales , more and more games will make their way to Switch.
Nintendo basically did make a traditional Console in Gamecube. It didn't sell well. They had 3rd party then too. Being Different is Key to their Future success (as well as Delivering Great Games). We don't need 3 PS4s on the market. I like that each system has their own Identity.

These kind of cases are great though. They are pretty useful for trips etc. I have one for Nes classic and plan on getting one for Switch and PS4. Xbox one is just too big lol.
yeah a simple everyday case is great. (I'll be using the one with BOTW SE). This travel case (IMO) is for big trips where you want to bring your whole setup.
I just realized that if people hate motion controls then its been a long time since many played a zelda game.
I hope it gets 10s for critical success.. but I wouldn't base my opinion on a review.

I understand your view.. the one thing i see is them being conservative and focusing their production on Switch right now.
They aren't trying to create demand for 3ds by not having stock . I just checked online and you can purchase new 3ds xl. It may not be all the color variations though.
Whether they do it or not its not exclusive to them. The only Nintendo system that was ever hard for me to get was the NES classic, due to there not taking preorders. The themed consoles like the Majoras mask New 3ds was hard but those are made to be limited.
What does some retailers canceling orders have to do with nintendo? Target is known to cancel orders like crazy (main reason is they do multiple checks on your funds and if you don't have the amount it gets canceled.. best thing to do is use a Red Card) . As for Gamestop Sometimes their system gets buggy and allows more orders than is allocated and the overage gets canceled (online ordering) . @sk8ofmnd Your argument is only 1 dimensional. when most bought their PS4 during its 1st year did so for the future prospects and it was successful without having the best games (it Sold on mainly a Promise). Now currently they have their best games and many more coming in. Games is a good selling point. But don't forget the beginning when their was hardly anything great worth playing on ps4 and it was a waiting game (same with Xbox One as well). Having a Robust library takes time. Buying...
well um DUH (being silly) Ps4 is killing it right now. But as a gamer I don't have amnesia either. Most launches don't consist of the best games and while Switch may be lacking QUANTITY of titles it is coming out with a instant classic and will have Top Notch games come its 1st year. It's called a portable battery pack. I use one on my phone and its the best thing to have. Anker sells some of the best ones with not a huge asking price. These days battery life is a non issue.
As for pricing... that's up to the buyer if its too high or not. If need be a price drop will happen.
I always felt the Zelda IP should expand into other genres that make sense for the franchise. An RPG would be perfect with Different Party Members and leveling the characters. Great focus on story
Way back in the Gamecube days I pictured a Zelda fighting game with characters from the series.
I aslo thought up a game that would basically be a mini game collection.

(Just speculation) i think it's possible that Nintendo slowed down production of 3ds to keep costs down for this fiscal year. They most likely are focusing on Switch production, after the fiscal year is over they probably will have a more steady flow of 3ds'.
