Whoever wrote this article thinks himself to be smarter than he actually is. There's no real valid points here that apply to all gamers. I'm sure the writer thought he was making an intelligent, controversial, thought provoking read but it just comes across to me as kind of pretentious.
Ehhh I don't really care about the story so this doesn't really bother me. Gears of War is like Commando or something. Plain retarded, sure, but fun as hell.

I'm not really all into caring about textures and whatnot. I do think though, in general, Killzone 2 does look better than Gears. Different styles and all that but still.
Oh I know there's payment involved for special treatment, however all of this "MS is paying for lower scores on PS3 games" is plain ridiculous which is what I was getting at.
People seem to think that companies will make games exclusively for either platform for absolutely free so anytime there's an exclusive thing for one console (mostly Microsoft on here) it's automatically bashed because they paid to get it. How else would they get it?

I got a beta code in my e-mail today.
It said "Due to your continued contributions to the Call of Duty website we have rewarded you with a beta key for Call of Duty: World at War!" or something like that.
I haven't even been on that site since before CoD4 came out. Even then I only signed up to snag a beta key for CoD4.

I mean look at the hype for Killzone 2 and Heavy Rain and things on this site. A lot of it's based on the visuals.
Yeah, the Killzone 2 previews have come out and they were damn good, but the hype and excitement was there before they came out.

I don't read all these comments, but from what I did read nobody said the game is bad on PS3 because it doesn't look as good (going by comments on that one, I can't really tell the difference).
