Cross platform play is something I don't like to see getting to popular, but I'm ok as long as they don't do competitive games cross platform
I was watching through thinking the maps look alright but I probably wouldn't pay 800msp for it then I heard 1200msp and I bloody LOL'D anyone who buys this is getting a rip-off.

Yeah it really is just so they can update whenever they want too (and maybe "cloud" saving support), they update TF2 normally once a week right now they probably just did this so they don't have to get updates approved by sony.
although funny, I hope they don't make any more this series needs to die.

I get that now, it is true that no one can tell the future and i didn't really mean it in that way i was refering to most currently released fps's.
All the games you mention are trying to be different which is fantastic.

@FatOldMan I agree with you but i do say it is mostly true there are probably a few games out there that have something new, but they might not get popular or they might suck, I don't see any popular FPS bringing anything new to the genre.
COD 4 was the best in the series and COD 2 was also good. from WaW and on its just rehashes that people seem to think are new in some way and buy. No FPS anymore can bring anything new or different that other FPS's haven't done before. but its still a popular genre for some reason.
And i hate black ops as well, its multiplayer is a amazing failure.

It likely would be a option but also remember cross platform fps has been done before, Shadowrun it definitely shown that competitive games with console vs PC are a lot more difficult for xbox than it might look.
Also if valve start moving their games over to PS3 and 360 for cross platform play, valve do not put aim assist in their games, play tf2 on orange box 360 or ps3 (if tf2 works on ps3 orange box) it doesn't have aim assist and I think its one of the only games on console f...
