Personally I just think that motion control was bottom of the list when it came to features in a console that need implementing when Microsoft and Sony made their consoles, and have just shoehorned them in when they realised that Nintendo concentrated on it and had made so much money.
But that's just my opinion, I'm sure money isn't the reason they've decided to do motion control. Surely not.
