I agree with the author. Fallout 4 doesn't need to be huge, but it is still pretty big. The size is similar to Skyrim's - and that game had a lot of open space, mountains and rivers - and I never thought that the world was too small.
And something we forget a lot, is that this game is way bigger if we count all the buildings, basements, vaults and caves you can enter and explore.
Took me 16 minutes, but I had to climb some mountains, skirt a few cities and got a random encounter. So remove like 2-3 minutes.
It really intrigues me as well, I'm going to try it right now on Skyrim, with non-stop sprinting, and post the results.

Well yea, it was beta, but so was Battlefront. Actually, I had the exact same problems with the Black Ops 3 beta I got with Advance Warfare. And, according to the reviews, Ghosts seems to be poorly optimized as well, but I haven't tried it on PC, so...
It doesn't... for you. Battlefront ran amazingly great on my PC but Black ops 3 beta and Advance Warfare were lagging and stuttering like crazy. And looking at the mixed reviews on Steam, I'm far from being the only one. They're actually one of the worst games I played on my PC, with Saints Row 4 and Assassin's Creed 3.

Hum, I played them. The mp stutters like crazy and everything needs to be medium/high to have a "playable" performance.
By the way just look at the Steam reviews, I'm not the only one to have problems with the optimization of this game. And no, it's not my system.

The point is not that PS4 has no games that output at 900p, it's that the same exact game can achieve higher resolution on the PS4.
Congrats? I'm not saying it's a bad game, but it certainly doesn't live up to the hype of the series.
So far, nothing has spoiled the game for me. I simply didn't watch any gameplay. But as soon as the game releases, I'm done with N4G. A lot of things were spoiled for MGS V on N4G after its releases.

TES VI won't be announced next year that's certain. It took almost 4 years to announced Fallout 4 after Skyrim.

I never said anything about the engine, I'm saying you can't compare two completely different games together exactly like you do with GTA V. One is an action sandbox and the other is a RPG filled with interactible objects all over the place, quests, loot, etc.
I'd like to see you creating a better engine for a game like this. It improved a lot compared to Oblivion and for what they're doing with their games, they couldn't take an alr...
Yea, I lost a lot of respect for Steam and Bethesda when they first announced paid mods, but I thought that gamers "won" when they removed them. But now, they've fallen even lower by trying to subtly get away with it this time. They know gamers didn't like it, but they're still trying to shove it down gamers' throats. Steam seriously needs bigger competition, they're getting really greedy and douches to their fans.
