Sounds interesting. Can't wait to see what it is.
People seriously didn't play GOW I and GOW II. Believe me GOW III is a big deal. It didn't win Most Anticipated game of 2010 for nothing.
Seriously no GOW game has ever fallen off even the PSP game while Halo's track record has been tarnished as of late.
Bungie has a lot to prove with Halo: Reach.
Sony Santa Monica have nothing to prove with GOW III.
Look at it this way. GOW games are the best games in their respective genre. Halo games ...
Uncharted 2 is a graphical beast but GOW III has the potential surpass it.
The fact that there are levels built on Titan NPCs and especially if they can get the game to run at 1080p/60FPS without sacrificing the visual fidelity we witnessed in the magazine scans would definitely trump Uncharted 2.
I think we all know which games have great graphics. No need to list them. All I am going to say is a PS3 is needed to play these games.
The scan of Gaia with Kratos as a spec on her shoulder will give GOW III a lot of GOTY nods. The fact that the developers can pull that off is console generation defining. Unless Halo Reach is doing something so spectacular and console generation defining, I don't think it will compete with GOW III in terms of GOTY awards.
I think all three console manufacturers will have great content for gamers. However, I believe the PS3 exclusive content is strongest followed by the Wii then the 360.
The Wii is releasing the trinity of gaming in the same year (Galaxy 2, Zelda Wii, and Metroid: Other M).
Microsoft will need to release Gears 3 this year in order to compete with the blockbusters Sony and Nintendo are bringing to gamers this year.
If The Last Guardian and Agent release th...
I don't think we will get anything too advance next gen. You can thank Nintendo and Microsoft for that.
Good list!
I like the North American box art but the European one is also nice because of its simplicity and mysteriousness.
Sounds very interesting. Still need more info and HD gameplay videos to know if this game is enough to make me "Jump In".
Man this is a hard question.
Well it would have to be an open world game or some type of game with infinite levels and re-playability.
I would choose 1 of the Grand Theft Auto games or LBP.
If I had to make a decision I would say GTA: SA because its the longest and most detailed GTA in terms of content. Plus you can make your own fun and not follow the story because of its open world nature.
I guess one could also just create their own lev...
Technology moves at a fast pace. Who knows what the needs will be a year from now.
Hopefully, Nintendo and Microsoft's penny pinching this generation doesn't discourage Sony from innovating with the PS4.
People continue to try and discredit and hate on GOW III. They continue to pretend that GOW I and GOW II never happened. I am going to have fun on n4g on the 18th when HD video and screen shots are released. :)
People even like to discredit the quality of the demo. The experts have weighed in on the demo. For those blind fanboys that don't know good graphics. See Digital Foundry article below.
I like it when developers are original and think outside the box.
Amazing. Sony never fails to astound. My PS3 was worth all the money I paid for it.
I agree with your list almost exactly. I would move Alan Wake to 9 and Splinter Cell Conviction to 10
GOW III is not even on their list. People continue to sleep on GOW III graphics. People are going to be shocked.
I personally don't think the 360 hardware is future proof.
But Microsoft is doing their best to extend the life cycle of the 360 with NXE and Project Natal which is a good thing for Xbox owners.
This is big for Wii owners. Thank you Nintendo.
