Neither consoles has been fully "tapped".

On the PS3 side it's just getting a handle on the Cell processor, which has fantastic floating point calculations but horrible branching predictions.

On the 360, well splitting up actions that go in order A->B->C->D to 6 different processors is no easy task either.

Why would the compensate people for downtime that was announced that within the short time period that it was?

*sigh*
The amount of crap in this comment section that has nothing to do with a simple gag that is meant for nothing more than a simple laugh makes me want to tear my eyes out and then cry for humanity.

How does it take more time/effort if the system was hacked in 2 minutes?

HDMI is not necessary for one. Sure it's damn nice to only have one cable instead of 3 or more but it is far from necessary.

They only supported HD because when the 360 was in development, HD was the only format, so it would be kind of hard to support BR before it is even out.

And as far as extra stuff goes, well the HD is very much overpriced as well as the WiFi, but we just say that because we have no clue what it cost them to make. Anyways as far as the normal stuff ...

My rant.

Before I begin, yes I wish Live was free and would be every so happy if it were, but enough with this crap! Somewhere in the world there are servers that run Live and those servers cost money. They also have programmers/project leaders/ supervisors and a host of other workers who do nothing but work on Live, and they have to be paid.

And lastly, lets not kid ourselves, they are a business. They are not here to make you happy or grant your every wish. They ar...

Err I'm not saying 50-80$ isn't some money but really, if 50-80$ is hard to come by chances are you should not be owning a 300+ system. Just a thought.

If DLC is made by the Dev. then they have every right to charge for it. Say it took one employee 3 days to make a map, which is quite on the low end when you count in testing and such but go with it for now. So say it took him 3 days and he makes a somewhat low salary of 50k a year. This would mean it would cost the Devs. 625$ to just pay the employee to make the map in this case.

Now a more realistic view is that it takes much more time and more employees and thus more money to ...

So because you like the little rumble and the added feel it brings to the game it makes you a non-gamer? Here I thought a gamer was simply anyone who enjoyed playing games. *shrug*

Actually at my school anyways, the Security Students are the most active of the whole Computer Science department. Except for me and another 7 or 8 odd balls who actually socialize.

Umm that had nothing to do with Sony but everything to do with Linux.

6522d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

Linux in all it's wonderfulness will never replace Windows/OSX no matter how much people want it to. I love Linux, hated it at first when my Advance Programming teacher made us start using it, but it takes time to learn. More time than most people are willing to invest when all they use their computer for is some basic word process/taxes/web related activities.

I would love to see Linux become more prominent, mostly because its free, but unless they make the whole system a lot mo...

There is always a Ubuntu person just waiting to speak out. Praise Linux all you want but the simple fact remains is that it is way more complicated that Windows and far less compatible. I would never ever recommend Linux to the average person and it annoys the crap out of me when people go around saying much better than Windows,OSX,exc. Simply put, must people can barely get a handle on Windows, let alone anything more complicated than it...

As far as XP vs Vista goes, my basic a...
