I enjoy the content they produce(the quick-looks, endurance runs, the giantbombcast). The staff(Ryan Davis, Geff Gerstmann, Vinny Caravella, Brad Shoemaker, Patrick Klepek) is diverse and experienced, and I trust their reviews to be accurate and fair. The community on the site is also more mature than the majority of other gaming sites. Other than N4G, Giantomb.com is the video game site I visit most. I encourage anybody who enjoys video games to visit the site.
I'm going to be really bummed if Giantbomb doesn't make it. It is, by far, the best video game site on the internet, and it is a shame that it doesn't get the traffic it needs and deserves.
Skyrim. I have been waiting for it for 5 years.
I'm right there with you. I have an anatomy exam today, and Skyrim is making it very difficult to study for.
The way I look at it, the review scale for video games is similar to the grading system of American schools. 10-9 is equivalent to an A, 8.9-8 a B, 7.9-7 a C, etc. Review scores make more sense, to me, when viewed this way; everything below a 6 is just varying in how terrible it is.
As for Sterling, I stopped trusting his reviews once he gave Assassins Creed 2 a 4.5; I don't even enjoy the Assassins Creed games, but I'll admit they deserve scores much Higher than a 4.5. Even...
Your comment is what's wrong with gaming as of late; too many judgmental pricks.
So, in your opinion, a person is not allowed to criticize anything that he or she has purchased?
I'm glad Arkham City is released this week. Otherwise, the next 25 days: 2 hours: 26 minutes : 32 seconds would be unbearable.
You can't complain about greed while advocating piracy. If you don't want to purchase the game, that's is fine. Stealing the game, however, is equally deplorable to the publisher's money grabbing. Two wrongs don't make a right. If you think otherwise, you are just as greedy and morally bankrupt as the game developers/publishers.
Piracy will only lead to the publishers/developers incorporating more of these tactics in their future games. If you want to stop t...
Agreed. Here's to playing great games and supporting the developers who create them.
I'm not a casual gamer, and I hated having to repair my weapons. It was a waste of time. Once the durability was low, you threw a bunch repair hammers at the armor/weapon, and it was back to normal. I thought it was a pointless mechanic.
Please, elaborate on what an "RPG" is.
Based on all of the interviews/ previews I have seen, arrows will be much more powerful. However, to counteract this increase in power, the player will find fewer arrows.
Arkham City and Skyrim are the only games I plan on purchasing the rest of the year. For me, personally, it is between Skyrim, Arkham City, and The Witcher 2. My money is on Skyrim.
According to this article( http://n4g.com/news/860812/... ), the lesson has yet to be learned.
I believe this is the "burlap" map you get for pre-ordering the game.
Skyrim slaps Dark Souls and tells it to shut up.
I don't feel cool and hip; I AM cool and hip.
And I will continue to not purchase their games.
Especially since the embargo for the reviews doesn't lift until tomorrow morning.
