That's the thing with software emulation. It sucks. It sucks for the PS3 80 gb and it sucks for the 360. That's why all those PS2 and Xbox emulators on the PC are stalled.
How lucrative can it be? WB is probably the smartest film studio right now by selling on both formats and I don't see why they would do something so stupid. 300 HD sold triple what it would have done normally because it was on multiple formats.
Novels were actually pretty good. Better than the game story line anyway. Lots of religious undertones and mythology that I wish Bungie had crammed into the game. That was one of my disappointments with Halo 2. Not enough analyzable material in the story.
I still do speed runs for games that really pull me into the story, you know. Want to play a whole game in one sitting sometimes.
Just what I was expecting HS to score. A solid 8 to a low 9. Can't believe all those flame wars about HS being as bad as Lair over the IGN review.
Lol. People get all bent out of shape over nothing. The two versions are so similar that only a guy analyzing every frame of action would even see a difference. And those guys are freaks. My answer to any angry fan. At least it isn't Madden 08 all over again.
-edit- Jumped the gun. Read the PS3 review. Framerate problems...
Lol. I'm gonna buy a 360 for only shooters.
PS3 version isn't coming out until next month, probably because they have to actually port Shivering Isles to the platform. Anyway, good for me, cause that's when I'll get a break from college. Gonna buy it on the way home.
A demo, wouldn't really work so well, but it would have been nice nonetheless.
Damn, did you even read the article? Does not mention possible platform specific delay.
That is the smart thing to do, lol. Don't know how far the price will drop though considering that it is a three disc set...
I own a PS3 and would have ignored this game even if it had come out on the PS3. I like JRPGs, but this game looks childish and uninteresting. I hope Mistwalker put more time and effort into Lost Oddeyssy but so far that game looks mediocre as well. But a few months of development time does help a lot after all.
Sony made a bad decision when sending out those reviewers guides. Whoever made that decision should be fired. All it did was create even more bad PR for the company and the game.
Microsoft is stingy as hell with prices. Their $50 price cut should have been a $100 price cut. Then again, their 3 year RROD warranty is costing them a billion plus dollars so maybe their stinginess is warranted.
Overpriced? Something is overpriced if it costs less than the retail price to build it. Sony's PS3 costs more to build it than the retail so it is underpriced. Now expensive? Yes of course it is. It is $500 after all.
The Blockbuster employee who put the video in the kiosk has either got to be a Sony fanboy or a 360 fanboy. A Sony fanboy in that he is trying to trick potential buyers. A 360 fanboy in that he is trying to make Sony look bad for false advertising.
I'm ignoring Blue Dragon because it just doesn't interest me. I went through child hood already, why would I go through it again in a videogame? And that is primarily the problem. Nobuo Uematsu should have made the characters older and more mature. Because he didn't, many people are just ignoring it because it looks like a "kids" game.
Lol. Rein is just covering his ass from the fire of angry fans if a delay ever occurs. Also, a lot of you guys should learn how to freaking read. There is no mention of platform of course, so Mark Rein was speaking about a possible PC/PS3 delay. Jesus christ. How ignorant can some people be?
The 360 version isn't coming out until next year for two reasons. Sony made a limited exclusiveness deal and there were some problems with some digital distribution or something or the other on the 360 side. Now I believe all three are being developed simultaneously, with the 360 probably being halted temporarily in order to finish the PS3 and PC builds, much like what Ubi did with Graw 2.
I don't know. EA and the PS3 is like a lose lose situation for PS3 owners. Hopefully Peter Moore starts making changes and fast.
