The headline would suggest that everyone did not renew games pass after the free trial, now that I don't believe.
I thought there are 100 games on game pass, what I want to know is the percentage percentage of how many people subscribe to games pass after the free trial. I don't believe for a minute that everyone who had the free trial just for SoT wouldn't renew games pass.
Why would it? I'm pretty sure Sony seen the backlash MS Recieved when they announced always online.

Why is it that when a publisher / developer are successful that they are now greedy? I hear this all the time, the thing is that if they are not successful, then they are not going to be making the entertainment for us.

Even if you want to say they focused only on the online side of the game, the single player game was still huge. Bigger then most single player games.
Obviously that's subjective because I truly prefer gaming today as apposed to years ago.
That didn't actually make anything about gaming better and I say this as a teen from the 80's.
I am sure if gaming went back to the way it was 20 or 30 years ago, people would grow tired of it quickly.
If they build the ps5 right the first time then there should be no need for a pro.

Obviously you need a connection to buy, I meant you don't need an online connection to play unless it's an online only game.
MS never suggested digital only, online only is not the same thing. And it seems to many people think that buying digital means you need an online connection which is absolutely not true.
You guy's need to get your facts straight.
I'm not going to spend $1000 for any console in any gen, you may as well be gaming on pc then and have all the power in your own choices. At least then I can decide what kind of build and power I want. Why would anyone think this is a good idea?
I would quit gaming on consoles and go exclusively pc if they try this.
I would choose to be able to keep my entire game collection from all gens. It isn't a matter of playing old games instead of new ones, but keeping and playing all my games.
Right now I don't get that choice, but I forsee that changing with next gen... hopefully!
