I disagree Orchard, this is a move to regain marketshare and move console's. There is no way MS buys Activision and plays nice with Sony.

Yes there was , they were called expansion pack's on pc, I even bought dlc for socom2 on the ps2. No you couldn't download off the internet for ps2 , new maps were available on disc . I think it was playstation magazine that you had to buy to get the map pack.
Also not all games were delivered complete with out bugs ,that's just wrong.
At least now if a dev team releases trash , there's a chance they can fix it.

I add ps+ games to my library every month but there are very few that I actually have played. If ps+ wasn't a requirement to play online, I wouldn't subscribe.
I had ps+ on the ps3 for awhile but it just wasn't worth it in my opinion.
