So... what do you want? Yeah MS tried to go the DRM way, but after we boycotted the X1 after E3, it took them about a week to reverse its policies. The rest of the changes (headphone, Indie-Dev-Kit, Kinect) all came from listening to customers. (BTW, as much people hate the Kinect, don't count on seeing an X1 come without it anytime soon. It's now part of the console; take it or leave it!)

The order looks like the only interesting PS Exclusive. Destiny on the other hand is cross-platform.
i'm expecting some exclusive announcements, a tv streaming service, some Vita stuff, release date, hardware details... and may be some cool bonus stuff.

yeah, for the rest of the apps, they are behind a 60 dollar paywall. But when have to pay $50 for PSN+ you can bet you're also paying for the other features you think are "free". ...

I don't think MS has any plans to release the X1 without the kinect. They've invested too much money into the device to watch it fail. So the only reason not to require the connection was to shut the paranoid people up about the NSA debacle. Please remember to recycle your tin foil hats!

"a little too late?" The damn thing wont even be released till another 3 months. Not to mention they still have a couple of more chances to appeal to more people at gaming events, starting with Gamescom.
I don't think they made this move because of pre-order numbers. If they were really concerned about their pre-orders they would've made the kinect optional. I think this was all about shooting down the "NSA will spy on you through the Kinect" paranoia.
