Something consumers can do to a product after they have purchased it, entirely optional and can always be undone with a fresh install
VS
The leading gaming hardware manufacturer making this the next iteration of the main AA/Upscaling technique that is heavily relied upod by modern devs and is not optional in most games.
Not at all the same but nice try
And what about when you can't? Cause there's plenty of games where you cannot fully disable dlss already, i mean we're well into an era where it's a major crutch for developers to cover up their cut corners, why would this be any different?
It's AI slop because it ignores the artists intent and changes the details ESPECIALLY when it comes to character faces. The scariest part of it is introducing it as the next stage of DLSS, a feature where the current iteration already has controversy surrounding it and for quite a lot of games cannot be fully disabled. So reasonably the precident is already set for what path this could take, and it's not good
You like when a game is bad ? Wtf type of middle school cringe bs is that?
Not trying to downplay people losing their jobs, but this is the first time even hearing about this studio ever
I dunno im kinda in the same spot. I think it looks ok, i looooove arcade racers, but the hype is far outpacing what i see imo
One more thing in a long list of things that already give indie Games an advantage
Famegen is the most backwards garbage imo. The whole point of more frames is better response, but framegen doesn't improve response, in fact it makes it worse so what's the point?
You sure about that?

No it's still bad, just not nearly as egregious, but there's definitely a sizeable (and growing) group of gamers who dislike any TAA/DLSS/AI upscale in general, myself included. Every time there's some update to one of these upscaling methods I roll my eyes because only when we improve from the issues can we address the issues, but when talking outside of an improvement or update suddenly there's no issues and we're The crazy ones for criticizing AI upscaling
That's just outright not true
I mean im kinda with Neonridr on this, like when i game is so good you get everything you can out of it, a slightly shaper image is cool but not worth the hassle of install/update etc
Bro what? Those two games aren't even synonymous with dying? I can probably count on my hands the amount of times ive died in both of those games since launch.
Except for their recent official statement saying that they're pulling out a PC
Dear Lord this article is written by AI, It talks circles over and over
Anywho, i wonder what they'll refer to it as , PSN just has a nice ring to it, kinda silly to erase it just cause 🤷♂️
Wont run on old hardware tho
They HAD to know it was an extreme gamble to make their 1st game a new competitor in an already oversaturated market. I feel sorry for any devs in there that didn't want to do this, but no remorse for anyone that was heading this idea.
For now, but everyone said the same about TAA/DLSS and ai upscaling in general, now we're getting PC games where you can't even turn it off completely without a mod, and if you most times it breaks the visuals because devs are using it as a crutch to hide their ugly half baked rendering techniques, sounds like a path made for this to follow
"This is the way he kind of wanted his game to be seen"
Like you cannot be serious bro 😂
Damn I just sold my original PS4 for $400 and got a pro 😅 I don't know if I should feel lucky or ripped off lol
