They had almost 3 YEARS!! after the game was already done to fix and polish it. There was no outside pressure to to hurry up and make a ps5 port and yet somehow it's still a mess. Bro i have very little hope left for ES6, i hope it surprises me but damn 😞

Pretty much where I sit like I'll gladly pay 15 bucks for this or if it's free for PlayStation Plus I'll try it out. It is a shame though it's not like I want games to be bad, but as soon as I seen the leak screenshots of this game it had me wondering if it would have any whimsy or creativity, and while the final release did have a bit more than the leak screenshot suggested it still fell very short in a lot of ways. Bro first learn about how disc drives, and disc formats work before spouting nonsense. If we're talking pure numbers, FAAAR more games work fine out the box than not, EA, MS, UBI and Bethesda are not the ONLY publishers out there bro. Also the most they can do is patch in a soft lock on the console side so that it won't play the disc, to which a factory reset will easily fix, and that's such an extreme example. But neither the discs or the drive are BD...

I mean they've said several times that the whole point of putting games on PC was to lure PC gamers to the console, but really all it did was convince people not to even buy the console and go PC instead. so shutting down the effort makes sense especially when it wasn't making them that much money in comparison.
If the shift in focus shows then yes. Plenty of games have a focus, these days most big titles are all about story but gameplay is pretty stabdard while interactivity and attention to detail take a backseat, this is just the opposite. It's not like it has an "ok" story and everything else is also "ok" there's a plethora of things this game does far FAR above any other game atm, so yes the story being just a means to lure you around the world is fine.
It's absurd how much this game does for such a small $30 game. It's such a well put together love letter to all the arcade racers people have been begging for sequels to, even has blur and split second like mechanics. Haven't had this much fun in an arcade racer since Onrush

Im honestly not even mad about it, their focus is on exploration and gameplay, if i could play Skyrim for 12yrs before actually playing through the campaign, i can be fine with this games campaign being just ok and a means to get you moving. They could always add more in the future, but right now im fine with it given everything else this game pulls off

It's actually super interesting to see an MMO studio put their skills of quick and consistent updates into a sp title. It's working out really well
No one is complaining about paying devs, people are tired of "AAA" games consistently being mediocre, half baked scams, meanwhile plenty of other studios, even AA or indy titles outshine them on the regular, why is that?
