It's great. Just keep in mind it's on a handheld and also download the patches before you go away.
For safety, every time you go into a new area from either loading or when you see the save icon wait 2 or 3 seconds max and let the textures load in. This will prevent 99% of potential freezes. A small price to pay for a great game on handheld.
Just had 3 midgets, a badass goliath and 2 maureders attacking me at once, with no noticeable slowdown. Don'...
probably at the same rate it was before?? Great for a handheld!
I'm still confused about all these issues I keep hearing about. The only place I had it freeze is the Bloodshot Stronghold until I let it load up before proceeding in there the 3rd time after reading up on the problem online.
It's rarely choppy at all and totally bareable and playable. In fact plays better than my Fallout 3 does on my friends PS3.
The FPS argument still m...
I found Gravity Rush really boring after 20 minutes unfortunately.
Do PS4 remote play games count as PSVitas bests if I don't play them at all on the PS4 and only play remotely??
If so, Watchdogs and Assassins Creed Black Flag have been my favourite Vita games of all time lol. Borderlands 2 is a close 3rd.
I haven't put Borderlands 2 down, not sure why it didn't make the list, especially after the first patch. I have had my Vita since release and have played Borderlands 2 for more time in total than all my other games put together. Well Vita games anyway.
This opening...
"Hey folks! We know you already own GTA V and The Last of Us after you bought them a year ago"...
Put me on the defensive immediately.
No I don't own either nor have I played them yet (played them and sold them), so shut up already. I want to play them on my PS4 so they "Bothered" with the last of us because people the millions like me could enjoy it for the 1st time you twit, and the people that may want to giv...
I think they're missing the point entirely, which is bikini zombie chicks can still look hot....
Nothing more to see in this game than that, and they are trying to make everyone realise this.
I thought the 1st one was fun, no reason to wail on this game, it'll be fun and look pretty cool to boot.
"This series should go away for the time being. The last one was awful. Sony should focus on giving gamers the franchises they have been asking about for quite some time now........."
@Gamings-Last-Legend
I agree. I grew out of button mashers and best 'em ups years ago. And years before that sports games and racing games. I wish developers would grow out of these types of games and move on to new IPs and stop flogging old has been games to death.
The worst part I found was the driving. It was like every time you drove past a road split as of a sudden bandits would spawn and you'd have to do the whole fight or flight thing, and driving past that way on the return trip would spawn the same issue. Unfortunately this was all over the map.
If it was more of a steady group of planted enemies that once killed wouldn't respawn and only new enemies could move into that area, it would make the place feel more real.
"Luckily, the Day One patch released on May 13th has fixed many of the audio dropouts, freezes, framerate stops, and technical hiccups throughout the game"...............
......"The Day One patch has done much to improve the numerous, almost infamous bugs, to the point that the game is recommendable and actually impressive considering how massive the console title is with all the included DLC"
This is why I think some other sites should re...
Happy with the review here.
It has been reviewed on its own merits as opposed to how it stacks up against the consoles or PC versions. Well done PSVITA Reviews for sticking with the platform that it's on.
The reason for the low scores, if they aren't playing a pre-release build, seems to be because most reviewers are constantly comparing it to other versions.
"It's not the same experience as on the PC" seems to pop up a bit. To be fair, neither are the PS3 or Xbox versions so why belittle a handheld?
Its portable (you can even play it on the toilet), its a good game and its fun. It doesn't appear to be overly broken or choppy so a 7 or 8 ...
Is it just me or are all reviewers and hand on article writers having a problem reviewing it on the platform it is released on?
its on vita so review it on that! Dont say we'll there are other better versions because I think my 8 year old would know that. I dont want a comparison, I just want to know how it plays on the system I may but it for.
You may as well just take out the word review and say Borderlands 2 Vita vs every other platform, because it se...
meaning it is a review of pre-release build of the game. Not a review of the retail build of the game. So it's not the same game we will be playing off the shelf.
after the schlacking that IGN gave it at their pre play tests, wouldnt be suprised if they gave them the 1st copy that they played initially for a laugh.
this game will sell fine, it doesnt need an IGN review to make it any sales
Review build vs release build is my guess
The review seems a little inflated, but better than that of other sites.
I wonder if the reviewers are all playing the same build?
Some reviews are saying it is too broken and choppy, but some are saying it's fine. A lot of public feedback is suggesting it is a good fine game too.
Metacritic has 44 user reviews at 8.6 average which sounds more plausible for this review than the 5.4 IGN have put out.
Its comments like this and a bunch of youtube style playthroughs for this game that lead me to believe that the reviewers are playing a possible pre release copy.
I have seen some (2) comments on neogaf but that is only 2 people so far.
It's a close rendition of Borderlands..... on a handheld.... no need to be picky.
Even the neogaf players have not said that the game is broken just one or 2 sections that may cause a lockup. And when it ...
From all the you tube in game and level videos for this on the Vita, certainly looks like its playable to me.
Is it also possible that they are reviewing a pre-release build like most reviewers get?
As it stands, from the you tube guys alone playing this and showing it off, its a definate buy for me. And im sure patches will fix any problems that are known if they are not already fixed in the retail release.
@Paul_Murphy , cool will look out for your one, I like The Vita Lounge.
I'm sure I saw an unboxing of it by a few sites and people already. My main concern is Sony not pushing it. There is that hint of "last second review embargo" because the game isn't very good about it.
From what I've seen, it was looking great for a handheld a few weeks ago, so thought they would have hyped it by allowing the reviews to be released at least a week ag...
Soooooo...... where's the reviews... Is this a worrying sign that there is no reviews of Borderlands 2.
I know it is for Sony, they have barely hyped this game and bundle up at all. Geez Sony, advertise this!
A good read.
