Ahh ok, I think i read the article incorrectly. It stated that if you were using 3-4 of these cards (why on earth would you need that) that the x8-x4 PCI-e slots might slow performance.

No way. AMD has CPU's, APU's, GPU's and is in all 3 next-gen consoles. They aren't going anywhere

Point is with that extra 50% the PS4 devs could be using no tricks and using all the high end techniques where the Forza devs are using a painted sky. Make sense? It doesn't make a huge difference in videos, but it does look nicer when being played and is noticeable. It's just the end all be all.
I hate EA, their policies, being forced to use origin when I don't want to. i hate battlelog and using my web browser, it's just cheesy.
I agree. I was just stating Microsoft has good upscalers, devs will use that to their advantage and claim 1080p

Microsoft has always had good upscalers in their consoles. Why render the scene at native 1080P when you can upscale it with the same quality? Happening since Xbox 360.
Here's the problem with that and a big thing consoles gamers don't realize. Regardless of 50% visually better, it's about what the game does. Devs use a lot of tricks to make games look better, which isn't bad. static environments, weather cycles, real time lighting, tesselation, HBAO, AA etc.
Those are things that could be happening in a game even though another game SEEMS to look as good from videos. Not to say that's the case, just an example.
I really wanted to get this for my PS4 because I HATE origin and hate EA's online system for BF. But this is looking more like a PC buy now, I can most likely max it out anyways.

I would lol. i would buy PS4 for the games and would pay $1000 for it and it would be stupidly amazing if they had the tech to cover $1000. But you're right and that's my point all along. Consoles cannot match PC's power, not even close. But PC's don't get the optimization that consoles get.
