Yay for advancements in the very unnecessary, driver breaking, all around incompatible operating systems.
I say throw money and research into making what we've got today faster, tighter, and more streamlined than the behemoth bloatfest MS has got going on. Windows 7 was a step in the right direction; a small step, but a step non the less. Let's keep it going that way.
"I’ve struggled through using the Playstation Network and I admit that I think it would be better if they just charged a little to make it work somewhat better."
Wow, I love the attempt at constructive criticism.
He doesn't do a very good job justifying why the 360 is worth paying for in the first place.
First page of the article, he's got a paragraph or two about how he played modern warfare online with friends. WOW, you played online, congratulat...
Clearly you haven't played the Forza demo.
It really speaks for itself, and embarrasses it's maker, Turn10.
Forza got rocked. This comment section is dominated by everybody saying the exact same thing...
Turn 10 shot themselves in the foot. It's a shame GT5 wouldn't release sooner to shut down comments like these, from Turn 10, right now.
Any score below a 9 would seem very low for a title that is consistently score above 9 and perfects everywhere.
It's pretty basic when you look at it from a Bell Curve grading method: an 8 falls way below the curve. It's inconsistent with the rest of the grades, which is fine, but is clearly going to stand out amongst reviews (or criticism).
I mean, plus the fact that he really doesn't do a good job justifying an 8; from what he says about the game, it sounds like ...
Every poor review given denotes that it's a bad game because it's too expensive, and more or less an expansion.
Every good review seems to be ignoring that fact, and just gauging it based as a stand alone game.
I really have no idea what to think. To me, it seems like such an odd title. It's definitely a quality game, I wouldn't expect any less from a Bungie title. But at the same time, I'm not comfortable with the fact that it does feel the big MS is just milking...
Repeating what I said about the "Destructoid: Fact: PS3 fanboys are the worst" article:
I thought the general consensus is to try and avoid arguments/heated wars between "fanboys"? Perhaps to try and improve the poor rep this site already has for being a haven for fanboys, only looking to start fights amongst each other.
Anyone approving and giving attention to crap like this are contributing to the problem... not just the fanboys.

By approving articles like these, you're only fueling the fire.
Yeah it can't be that high. I mean, if you think of it from a business perspective: if you have a console that has a 50% fail rate, and you've agreed to replace ALL of those consoles for 3 years if they fail, you think they'd actually keep that up?
Of course not, that's retarded. I don't care how much money M$ has, no one would be THAT stupid.
I think that all depends on what you consider "official".
I personally am sick of the 360 RROD "statistics" being hyped up by every news media outlet. Do I believe they're as high as 50%? No, I don't.
This is because one is more likely to tell others about their "bad" experience with a product they bought; and not likely to say anything at all if it works fine. Bad news travels a lot faster, and news outlets who are looking to capit...
The stats are separated. One being if you own a 360 that has RROD, the other if you've known someone who has owned a 360 that has RROD.
Then let people know! If you have a 360 that has never RROD, why not submit to their poll?
That's what the point of the survey is: to find out whether or NOT the RROD is as bad as what various media outlets are claiming. Information on submitting to the poll can be found at the bottom of the website.
If you're serious about it, it's better to let people know through this survey then to post here, expressing your anger in trivial comments.
I know it's gonna be a good game, and applaud Bungie for taking the series in a different direction..
It's just that: considering what you're ultimately getting, for the price their charging? that's where the issue comes into play. A map pack most Halo3 users have already purchase separately, exact same graphics as halo3 (altho one could argue it's more about difference in game play, and that's a fair argument), and a shorter campaign (from what I've heard).
Still, ...
This isn't a conclusive story, but does feature an interesting take on the RROD fiasco.
lol
A lot of PlayStation's sales increase can also be attributed to the new lower price point. Lots of people have been on the fence until the price came down.
Everybody knows that a price reduction was immanent for Sony, and coupled with the slimmer system has caused a surge in popularity. Microsoft has been at a lower selling point for quite some time. Investing so much capital into figuring out a way to make it smaller, especially given the hardware problems plaguing it current...
By the way, lawrence.... They call them links for a reason. They link other websites so that one doesn't waste huge space on an article nobody's going to read anyway. Except that one guy you were (feuding?) with, he might. But probably not.
Although I'm sure the game will be fun, I'll wait for the price to drop. $60 is too high an asking price, I'll just keep on playing Halo3 for now.
**Go playstation!**
$60 is too high an asking price and I think-
** Wait a sec... I better not finish that comment. I play the PlayStation 3, and even though my name doesn't reference my obvious Playstation fanboyism, and my comment wasn't about to allude anything in regards to the obvious superiority of Playstation over XBox, the people defending the 360 will know! They'll discover my secret some how...
How could I be so naive?! I almost fell into that trap! Excellent work iPirates...
Another "Let's compile a list of platform exclusives, put them up in no particular order (ordering them would require thought, and effort), and slap a 'Most desired exclusives by other consoles fanboys' title on it."
Or in other words: Here again, is a small list of popular 360 exclusives. Just like the list of PS3 exclusives.
I'm pretty sure anybody who plays video games could have guessed 90% of this list off the top of their head. Rendering this articl...
