Agreed. Gears had some really lame achievements.
This solution is going to make the problem worse because people will join a game, get as many headshots as allowed, quit and then go into another match.
I agree with what others have suggested and just get rid of the online achievements all together. COD4 has them down perfect but who are we kidding this is Epic and MS so they won't do the obvious easy thing they will compound the mess into something greater.

You are correct you can disable the pop-ups during video playback and you can disable the ad's by lowering your age. Unfortunately, when you do that you cannot access some content. If anything the ad's are always game related to the 360 or some type of Xbox promotion going on or movie/tv show. You have to understand that the "themes" on the 360 simply just change the wallpapers on each blade. They don't change the icons or text or sounds.
MS has already released a Gears of War 2 theme with the announcement and it was free. So I don't get the point of this post other than to be flamebait and inviting more attacks on the 360 and its fanbase.
