I downloaded the Echochrome demo from the JPSN store and wasn't my cup of tee. Got bored with it rather quickly and the game just gave me a headache.
Still gotta give props to the simplistic/creative nature of it and I think many people will enjoy it.
from Japan and I love it. The extra weight was really lacking in the SixAxis and the rumble is something I missed. The only thing is I wish the rumble was a bit more intense, it seems kinda weak. I will probably pick up a second one when they launch, not sure if they all feel weak maybe I got a bunk controller?
My buddy just bought a 360 for the first time and he got the newer "falcon" model and it runs quiet and cool. It really doesn't sound any louder than my PS3 or run any hotter. We played it for probably 2 hours and it was just fine.
If you ever consider buying one, look for the 175watt on the barcode of the box and make sure it is the model with the HDMI output, those will be falcons.

Notice the name of this story "360 and PS3 sales rocket" don't tell me a year older system is still keeping up with the brand new shiney PS3??? Even with brand loyality, 120mil PS2 userbase it is falling way short. It will take the PS3 years to catch up to the 360 install base and that will lead it to one place, 3rd.
I'm glad they bailed on the MP and are focusing on the SP experience. I wish more developers would ditch their boring MP if it's not going to be good.

I have to agree that this is coming from a "biased" source but at the same time I've seen plenty of stories here from PS3 biased site's all the time.
However, he does bring up some valid points and I while I think the differences in the games are going to be minor I am still picking up the 360 version and I believe it will be the better version for me.

@1.2 - Pure ignorance. The 360 is more than capable of having thousands of enemies on screen. Kameo was a launch title that had thousands of enemies on screen at once. People are playing Frontlines on the 360 right now with 50 vs 50 so the system is capable.
Let's put it simply, more does not mean better.

No details for Gears 2 have been announced yet you seem to know everything about the game. If R2 gives you more of everything but still sucks like the first one then you can have 1000 player matches and 50 storylines but that doesn't change anything..

People talking about this 60player online crap for Gears 2 have never even played the damn game.
The game is close quarter combat and not made for large matches. The tech demo showed hundreds of enemies on screen and I believe that will fit fine in the SP (with Troika gun please :) I've played some 50 player matches in Frontlines and it's fun but nowhere near much as it's being hyped up by the PS3 fanboys(what don't they hype up?)
