It's the other way around. Fortnite got popular on its own, and other things use it's success to advertise themselves. I don't like the BR, but all these events they do are pretty awesome, and they aren't afraid to use all the creative freedom they obviously have.
I felt every other aspect of the game took a back seat to the story, and the gameplay loop suffered because of it. Don't get me wrong everything plays very smoothly I only have a slight issue with the camera, but there wasn't much there to do outside of following the linear path the story wanted you take despite how open the levels were. They'll milk the kid til he gets bored and move on. I'm hoping that isn't the case but people can be very irresponsible even more so with kids

This obssesion with trying to make gaming appeal to the mainstream is what has made this show bad for years. Award shows have been missing the point for years. They award the celebrity but never the people in the background making it all possible in the first place. We don't need more celebrities.

The focus on the amount of money they have on these titles is probably the reason so many people can't take this game legitimately.
Those are the games that always come to mind. Overall great games and sold well but somehow not well enough for SE. It's a bit worrying because their bad management leads to cancellation or even less in the budget for games that deserve to be made
How many times have we've seen articles about SE saying they didn't make back what they spent on a game? Cause it seems like every other game they say the same thing. They got management issues, they make pretty poor decisions and I don't think they'll learn from this much tbh

I'm sure for certain games mouse and keyboard is great, for me shooters have been most fun with gyro control, but controllers just feel more natural and comfortable. With motion controls making a comeback due to VR I'm really hoping devs start adding MOVE support with camera only again. It's nice seeing all kinds of controllers being made and becoming more accepted. They're pieces of tech that's been overlooked for too long
wasn't there devs who spoke out after the meds that was MvsC3? Saying Marvel and Disney were very unpleasant to work with? Same thing seemed to have happened with KH3 with Pixar not allowing any creative freedom.
