Until they lower the price of everything, they ain't won a thing. $100 for coloured joy-cons that are still mostly grey is ridiculous. Nintendo as a whole has been ridiculous since the Switch's success. Only thing they consistently win in is in having the most blind loyal fanbase. Not sure what being so loyal to a brand gains anyone. Personally don't care for the PS this generation but I know I'm still willing to enjoy whatever they bring out that may catch my interest. I really don't think some of y'all truly understand the amount of anxiety and mental strain you put yourselves through keeping up with this unimportant console drama and being so overly passionate about something that isn't aware of your existence on an individual level.
And people are still bringing up the price of a PC while ignoring the fact that PC's still and always will do more than what a console does. That has to be taken into consideration. I wanted to give some long winded explanation as to why I hit the disagree to your comment but I'll put it simple. AI isn't poison, people are poison. For as much as you may care there are more who don't. Humans are stubbornly careless, and blissfully ignorant. I'm not against AI, I still think that as a tool it can help us do greater things still. It's people who will turn it as a tool to do us all over.
For me it's 100% a price issue. Seeing a game be full price one month then be discounted the next absolutely pisses me off. Even if it's something like 3% less, but I've seen games go on steep sale a month later too and it's insulting. It tells me that the asking price is not it's true value and that these publishers can absolutely sell their games at 30 or 40 bucks and still make back their budget and make profit.

YouTubers aren't entirely blameless. Before twitch was a thing many studios would listen more to YouTubers than their own fanbase. This has been an issue for years. All it takes is someone with a large enough social media following for devs to completely disregard their fanbase. All the blind praising for modern games has also drowned out all criticism, which is why so many games are such casual slop. But that's the price paid for leaving the niche scene.
