I don't see why everything had to happen at E3... So what if Nintendo didn't show of hardcore games? THEY'RE IN PRODUCTION! They've pretty much confirmed it.
E3 is a huge platform and probably the best way to reach casual audiences. Nintendo knows without a doubt that they don't need E3 in order for a "hardcore" game to gain popularity because gamers like us on N4G check the gaming news daily.

I know Nintendo's keynote was very very underwhelming, but don't compare apples to oranges. It's easy to list a bunch of 3rd party games spread across two systems, but don't compare it to first party titles on one system that WILL BE OUT IN 2008. There are a few great 3rd party efforts coming to the Wii this winter like Tales of Symphonia and de Blob.
No one knows and therein lies the beauty. They've promised several core titles so everyone is anxious for tomorrow.
Sony did lose something: EXCLUSIVITY on one of their most popular and promising upcoming titles. It's a big deal. Since FF13 was announced, Sony fanboys have praised this game as being one major factor in the downfall of the 360. It's now done a complete 180. This game will only help the 360.
Don't act like it's a minor deal losing exclusivity, because I remember it being a HUGE deal when it WAS exclusive.

As someone who has never even played and Animal Crossing game but has been following this one closely, I have to say the possibilities seem endless. A game like this on the Wii would sell through the roof whether gamers (who think it's kiddy) like it or not.
I've been going back and forth between RB2 and GH:WT. I just don't know which one I should get. GH has the create-a-song thing so I might end up going with that.
The summary of this story is misleading. I thought the entire game was kiddy until I went to gamesradar and read the actual preview. The Wii version seems to be shaping up, though.
I would expect a mammoth list from a company that has swallowed so many developers. It's really good though.
I have high hopes for Mirror's Edge. It looks really fresh and entertaining. My one concern is getting sick or nauseous because it seems like a new take on the first person genre.
Why Nintendo? It's a third party. Nintendo isn't making anyone publish anything.

It looks better and better every time they release new media on it. It's obvious that High Voltage is putting a lot of time and effort in this game. I'll be getting this one.
