"Well don't do a second play through. Beat the game once choose your ending and be done"
LOL this is exactly what I did with Heavy Rain. I haven't fealt like going back for new endings for some reason. Great game! Looking forward to this one.
There's bound to be fatigue with Geow, Halo and Forza. Same way there is fatigue with Uncharted, GOW and Resistance on PS3. Make more than 2 games per gen and it's likely to suffer from fatigue. I just don't see people getting excited over pretty much the same game with a new plot over and over.
GOW is an exception to my "more than 2 games"-rule but that has been around since PS2 pretty much as Halo and Forza has so...

"I won't hold my punches"
This will get you down to one bubble especially if you punch the x360. After that all you get is one "punch" and you've used up all your bubbles for this convo.
Judging by the headline alone he is a smart man. Day 1 DLC really needs to go.
To me this is just disgusting. There is absolutely no job on EARTH that should pay more that 100k dollars a year. In one year this guy just got payed about 65 times more than any normal hardworking guy earns in their lifetime most likely.
In 2012 my earnings were a little over 30k euros and I worked my butt off in overtime and 2 jobs. I'm never home for my kids since I work all the time. I work as an accountant and my second job is a security officer in night clubs. Now s...
"I think their strategy has been sell to the core for 5 or so years then sell to the casuals for 3 or so when the price is lowered"
Funny thing is that there are many many people in here who would NEVER admit such a thing.
@bathyj
I agree. I think a wait-and-see-approach is best when it comes to X720. There is a huge possibility that MS will continue with casuals.
@InMyOpinion
I think he means the way Kinect took away from core gamers with x360. The amount of core games went way down compared to the first half of x360's lifecycle when Kinect arrived.
This event will be watched by the millions and we will see if MS is willing to put some effort and please the core gamer or if they will continue the casual line like they've been on for the last 3-4 years. There's no running away now. The truth shall set us fr...
Shouldn't Nintendo be making billions of dollars of profit with success like this? I haven't been following the finances of Nintendo but one would think that on a monetary level Nintendo is on a whole new level compared to Sony and MS.
Since there's no way to disagree with sales numbers I think people disagreed with a known troll who used a tagline from PS3.
I just find it unbelievable to see all these SKUs selling like hotcakes. Next up 3DS LLL that has everything the same but 0.1 inches bigger screen. Sales explode! Next up 3DS LLLL with 0.1 inches bigger screen. Sales explode! Etc. Etc. It boggles the mind is all. With handhelds Nintendo truly could sell bricks and call them brick DS and people would be...
I guess the demo didn't do this game justice. Since I now have this game thanks to PS+ I will give it a whirl and see if it's better than the demo implied. Just gotta get my Vita a new charger damn it. My stupid cat chewed the cord and now it won't charge. Soul Sacrifice demo is waiting too...
Yeah it's quite optional if you want to buy their games or not. They are not forcing you to buy anything.
For example if they market DS3 for the core gamers and had an embargo for reviews in place and once the pre-orders arrived to the millions of core gamers they find out the game is all about growing crops and farming.....with a tuff looking helmet/armor on......yeah that would be nasty. Stuff like that make you a bad company. Lying to consumers and going back on your w...
One new scan is newswrthy now? Look I want this game almost as much as the next man but one scan that doesn't really even show us anything? Got my hopes up for nothing.....sigh...
Yup. I bought GOW3 but not GOW:A. I might buy it cheaper but I just am not that interested in yet another GOW title. Same with Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3 tbh. I bought those two when they GAVE them to me for 15€ each and they are still wrapped in plastic in my backlog. I loose interest pretty quick if it's more of the same. This is however just my opinion about this.
edit @ people calling salesdoom.
This GOW will sell well. I find it laughable for peopl...
"xbox fans will say it sells less than halo but why would sony care after this? "
Yeah they say that since the games only sell like 1-2 million they are worthless. I don't know what to say to that really. It just makes me feel sorry for said fans.
The best thing is when xfans say that MS gives them the usual 3 games and since they all sell well that must be the thing that people want. The worst cases even call Sony stupid to fund so many games ...
I buy my games brand new for 20€ or so. Far cry 3 and Borderlands 2 have been approaching that pricepoint ever since launch. You could even buy them for 20€ each during a sale a few weeks ago. The only problem I have is with time management. I have a 7 months old baby (and 2 older kids) and I have 2 jobs (one for weekends every now and then and the other for mo-fri).
Atm the only time I can play videogames is during the drive to work (if I'm not doing the driving) or on wee...
I wonder why is it that chick as a thumbnail pic for this article....
"Due to years of bitter resentment, the fanboys are just returning the favor,"
Well I am EXACTLY one of the fans you were describing but I don't like the word fanboy. I don't consider myself one for the simplest of reasons. I NEVER lie or bend the truth in any way in my favour.
My mind was "virgin" and pure as I eagerly entered this site back in 2005-2006. It didn't take long to find I actually started to have a grudge against ...
Yeah the word "massive" really needs to be taken out of the headline. Nothing but sensation seeking BS.
So Jamie went with the "you know things break"-console eh?
For me it was all about the games and Sony has that in spades.
I remember playing Nes and MSX and such and I really loved them.
But to say gaming has gone downhill is weird imo. Most games on Nes for example are 30 min to 2 hours long and that was when I was a kid and didn't have honed skills for gaming lol.
Games are waaaaay more engaging than what they were. I have Nes and Mega Drive and I still play them on a regular basis with my own kids but truth be told most of the thoughts about "teh great years of past ...
