I believ this industry as a whole is going the route of online passes. All the non-paying cockroaches who buy their games used and still stress the online servers are to "blame" if anyone. I usually tell people to buy their hames 3-4 months from release for a fraction of the price NE...

Why is it so hard to see that games do give you a good taste of the MP even without the code. I played Homefront online a couple of hours and thought it would be best to sell it without activating the code. That game has a level cap of 5 untill you activate the code. More than enough to get the hang of it imo. You can play it for as long as you like at lv5 to make absolutely sure you like it before purchase.

If only this console gen was over you could say the Wii spanked both x360 and PS3. However considering the price PS3 is JUST NOW lowering itself to it really is only starting to appeal to the bulk of the consumers. Do you not remember what happened as PS2 got down to about 200 usd? What about 150 usd?

I agree. While both of those things are primitive it really is different to teach a child why someone is punching someone in a cartoonish style to the face than if someone is putting his p*nis inside someone with a satisfied expression on his face. No matter how cartoonish it is there's bound to be a LOT more explaining with that one.

Kinda stupid coment really. It's much easier to explain violence to a child than to have him/her see a pornfilm (like Sloppyheads for example) and trying to explain that. I think Nukacola up there pretty much nailed it.
I have absolutely nothing agains this if it's handeled the same way as in Homefront for example. You can play the game online as much as you want but without the pass you won't get the unlocks and there is a level cap of 5 too.
This way even the cheapskates can test the game online and decide if they want to fork up the dough for the pass for full experience.

Well being big doesn't mean being slow. It's kinda relative to talk about speed like this. A 280 pound Brock Lesnar is much faster than many lighter guys. Same with Cain Velasques. Is he slow? Who are you comparing their speed with? Who are you comparing my speed with? All you do is generalize and say that based solely on my weight I'm on the slow moving side.

I get what you mean but you can't really compare the amount of effort it needs to upgrade games the way Sony does and to upgrade much older games like Nintendo does.
Additionally didn't Nintendo already rerelease their SMB all-stars and the like this gen. And then they ported tonnes of the old classics on handhelds.

I agree. I would really love to see the TOTAL software sold on these consoles. I bet it's better to have more games with less sales than a couple of games with good sales if you compare the TOTAL software sold on each platform.

I cannot understand what's the relation between MS being a backstabber and PSN going down. PSN going down was a no-brainer since Sony literally destroyed geohot in that court case.

I can almost guarantee that a few years from this each and every single game dev uses online passes. That's where the industry is going since online is just that big nowadays.
