I just got the YLOD last saturday and today I shipped it out for repaires. Don't know how long it'll take but it will cost me 260€ (something like $325). The best part is that it was friggen 2 months out of warranty. Bought it at launch on March 23 2007 and it effin crapped out on me NOW. This is unbelievable!
Just last saturday. I had the PAL-launch console (bought on March 23 2007). I was going to play RE5 on pro to try and get the trophy (trying to get the big guy killed after the chase in chapter 2-3(which must be the only difficult part playing pro)). Last time I couldn't get him killed so I thought about trying again. I have to play the whole chapter ofcourse since I've hunted all the other trophies in between.

Every time the PS3 is doing good in sales it brings joy to know people actually care about something else other than pure money (morals and such). PS3 is a better console hardwarewise no matter how you slice it.
Sonys way of doing things is better than MS way atleast what I've seen in the gaming business. There's just no comparison between those two.

I agree with you. I think it's way more harmfull to let a 12 year old kid (for example) to watch a porno movie than it is to let them watch a violent or horrifying movie. Reasons are as follows:

Yes you can transfer save files on a flash memory. The only problem I see is some of these recent releases (SF4 for example) when in some cases you CAN'T transfer save files for some odd reason. You can't even copy them. Says it's illegal or something like that.

I can see your point but I can already buy games cheaply so that's not a factor. Fear 2 and KZ2 cost me 39€, Street Fighter 4 cost me 36.5€. After I found Play.com I haven't bought a single game elsewhere. Oh and Mirrors edge cost me 28€.
I also bought persona 3 FES and 4 since they were 23.5€ a piece. Odin sphere cost me 8€. It's unbelievable. I've also bought several copys of Bioshock (cost 25€) and sold them for a profit.
