It's hard to talk about gaming this gen and NOT mention those two factors...of course Nintendo selling 85+ million consoles should be at the top of the list for obvious reasons...lol...Halo should of been in there as well...Halo 3 sold 12+ million exclusive on 360 and is still in the top 15 games played on Live.
Weird how he didn't mention Sony, Sony move, Blu-ray or the PlayStation brand at all...hmmmm... ;D

COD is the king of the hill until someone knocks them off. I know what COD is bringing to the table and Battlefield will need a major over haul if it wants to take that on. The problem with Battlefield is it's game play is antiquated. Nobody wants to fly around in a helo or drive a tank...not the 20+ million gamers on COD anyways.
I haven't seen anything from Battlefield that is new and wasn't there years ago. Going head to head with the explosive COD...

Everybody knows how good COD is and dumb fanboys aside the last game, which wasn't the best in the series, sold 8+ million on PS3 and 10+ million on 360.
EA and dice are running around trying to drum up some hype for Battlefield, showing an impressive trailer that will come back to burn them once the " real " graphics are shown on consoles and affordable PC's.

Even if there were only were 6 maps, it wouldn't matter, the game will be great value with 4 player story based co-op and horde mode.
The haters don't read the articles. They are too consumed with jealousy to bother. Look at this thread...lol...it clearly says you can vote on 6 maps for the beta but the fanboys are still complaining about 6 maps...some fool down below is comparing Gears to sack boy and LBp 2...O_o

I think this reviewer never played the game and if he did he obviously didn't understand it. If you play through a game on easy don't complain the game is too easy...O_o
I really wasn't expecting much after the lackluster demo...wow, was i wrong. This is easily the most entertaining FPS I've played in a long time. I really like COD Modern warfare ( all of them ) but this game was just so entertaining on a completely different level.

Article is pooh...EVERY level is different with different enemy types and environmental mayhem. The pacing of the game is spot on. The set pieces will impress and I have no idea what this guy is talking about...lol...Does this look satisfactory....

I know he steps on his tongue every once in a while but he is such an asset to the gaming community. WHY M$ hasn't done more to make Cliff and Epic become a more substantial part of M$ and it's gaming division is a mystery. They would of been NOTHING with out Gears in 2006 showing what was possible on 360...Cliff sure looks different from those days...ahhh...the memories...

Love the detail that Epic and the Gears teams put into their enemies. It so easy to give them a helmet and that's it but just look at the picture...WoW.

Bulletstorm should of been exclusive on 360. Why they went with EA is beyond me, especially with EA advertising Crysis, Deadspace and Bulletstorm and recently Battlefield all at the same time...big mistake. The PS3 fan base is all wrong for great games like this and the die hards spend all their time trashing anything that is not exclusive to PS3.

The horde mode has been expanded and it would seem that would be the reason for the fewer maps. It's tough being at the top...Single player, 4 player story based co-op, Horde mode with new Beast mode and dedicated server multi-player...lol...only Halo can compete with that and they have the forge mode as well...all on a little DvD.
I don't think gamers who want and can play Gears 3 will complain once they get a taste of the multi-player. People who bought...

It is true it lacks a multi-player versus this time around and it's a big omission but since it was a new IP, Epic wasn't going to risk it's flagship title Gears of greatness this fall with what would of been an excellent mul...

Looking forward to playing Crysis 2 and seeing what Crytek has planned for us in the SP. The graphics look great BUT I have to say, if you missed Alan wake, you missed one of the best looking and detailed games this gen. It easily matches Crysis or any other game out there and surpasses many of them in realistic like environments and settings...

Bulletstorm is raising the bar in that style of game play. The leash, use of environmental hazards, variety of locations, double click A button slide, weapons, great graphics,enemy types and STORY leave alot to be desired.
