This is out of context clickbait. He said this on the latest episode of Beyond! (starting at 6:15) and was specifically referring to his own tastes being extremely fussy. ln High School he binged on a few Samurai manga (Rurouni Kenshin and Inuyasha) and totally burned himself out on Fuedal Japan/ Samurai stuff, but this is walking the really fine line of an aesthetic he still likes. He isn't worried about the game for the wider audience, just where it lands in his own tastes.
In all fairness Ubi does some unique games and continues to support them even when they launch to a lukewarm reception. Look at Seige, For Honor, Mario + Rabbids and the upcoming Skull and Bones. Sure they milk some franchises to death(AC) but they also try new things.
But Ubisoft copied Rockstar who I'm sure copied someone else.
The annoyance is that I like to switch shaders all the time, specifically when I'm playing w clan mates, we wear clan colors, but when I'm off by myself or w friends I'll change it up, then if I end the night w some crucible w clan mates I now need to consume more shaders! I will quickly run out of those fancy shaders my clan uses.

It may have lacked surprises but that's too be expected after last years E3 and PSX. If they announced more it would really just clog up the pipelines; get this wave of huge exclusives out, then start teasing the next wave. With so many big games on the horizon it's smarter to focus on selling those than hyping games that won't see the light of day for 2+ years. Hell a lot of the games they debuted last E3 still don't have a release date!

It's too vertical if you are close and tall, the whole using the kickstand on an airplane is nearly impossible for a large portion of the population. That plus it's pretty flimsy for an expensive piece of electronics, a lot of people simply don't trust it.
